Draft at BEVERIDGE PLACE BODACIOUS BEVERAGES BREWFEST 09. Pours a dark red burgundy brown with little head. Great sweet chocolate and vanilla aroma. Light bodied, and not too complex, but the chocolate is present. And you get a slow mild chipotle burn

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Pours a blood red-amber, but flat, lifeless body. Pleasant earthy chocolate aromatics on first sniff with the feintest hint of cinnamon hotness. Very flat body detracts, but a nice syrupy chocolate-chili blend. Mildly smoked and spiced with distinct, restrained poblano flavor atop an undercurrent of medium milk chocolate and medium roast malt. Nice qualities, but the absolute absence of carbonation definitely detracts.
