This is another English style, though with another American twist. Also an original flagship brew; this is brewed to be our "introduction to micros" for our customers. The Pinnacle Peak Pale Ale is a light bodied, mildly hoppy ale brewed with a 2-row malted barley and a special German malted barley. Palisade and Citra hops are used to provide the balanced palate. This is another in-house favorite session beer and very friendly at 4.4% ABV and 20 IBUs.

Keg at Harmon Taproom, Tacoma, travel 6,000 miles for a golden fucken blonde - hurrah !!! 07/11/14. Clear golden with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pale malt, straw, orange, citric vibes. Taste comprises much the same, pretty ho - hum, you’re not going to match the best examples of this style unless you produce them via cask conditioning, more orange, light vanilla, melon, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, light hop bitterness. Drinkable but ultimately dull !

Draft - Nice grapefruit and a bit of pine. Clear gold with a decent white head. Earthy battering hops, pale malts and a clean finish. Basic, but decent.

Hazy amber pour with a thin white head. The nose is a little bit fruity with some light caramelly malt flavour backed by a touch of citrus. Iced tea ish but not cloying. Hops are there but the bitterness is fairly muted. Leans to sweet. A little bit of brown sugar flavour on the back.

Mount Rainier National Park - on tap at the Inn. Murky medium gold pour, soft white head, good lacing. Aroma has a nice floral touch to it. Flavor is lemon accented with a touch of grapefruit, nice subtle bitterness. Crisp, clean mouthfeel. Overall, very refreshing.

Slightly hazy golden color, good creamy white head, lace. Grapefruity nettles aroma from Citra. This one has also good body for ABV. Flavor has pale malts, sweetish pineapple, pine and citrus. Lots of flavors in this beer. Citra is not dominating in the flavor, Palisade brings up some piney notes I believe.

Very weak pale ale all the way around. Watery and not much flavor and bad on the palate, something stuck with me. Unimpressed.

My Bottom Line:
This very sessionable Pale Ale matches citrusy hops to crunchy pale malts for a pleasant quaff.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam lasts atop the hazy yellow.
-The svelte body increases drinkability.
-Cereals are as important in the finish as the fruity, spicy hops.
-Flavors are levelled throughout, of restrained intensity.
-I wish more breweries had nice low-gravity brews like this one.

On tap at Naked City.

Tap at Naked City. Hazy amber. Nice foam. Attractive hop aroma with some malt sweetness. Sweet malt is tasty but hops are a little faint for me.
