Bomber from Bottleworks. This one at 6.1%. Pours hazy light amber with a white smear for head. There’s caramel in the aroma, but the hop seems floral. Med body. Near creamy. Flavor is definitely hop over caramel, but what hop? I’m going for floral with some grapefruit rind. Always a mystery to me. Nice drink.

Bomber poured a hazy copper with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine and citrus. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a lightly dry finish. Flavors of carmel, pine, earthiness and light orange with a crisp lightly dry moderatly bitter finish.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with riversideAK (thanks!). Poured a deep and cloudy golden color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of earthiness, citrus, and some pine. Tastes of citrus, a lighter earthiness, toasted malts, and some caramel. More hoppiness in the aroma with the tastes a little more balanced.

Hazy yellow-golden beer with a creamy white head. Aroma is completely loaded with bright citrus hops. Tropical mango and lots of bright orange citrus peel. There is a bit of light tartness as well. Very big bright tropical aroma. Pineapple, mango and a light pine with a soft lingering herbal hoppiness. Chewy and sweet with a lingering rich soft fruity finish. Pretty solid IPA.

Draught Pinkish-foxy beer; small yellowish head. Grapey, great hops nose, fresh hop bales. Dry-bitterish, nearly British Best Bitter hops. Some caramel, which doesn’t spoil anything. Finish is pure hopoils. Slightly burning, slick, hop-oily palate. Great IPA, not far from excellent.

Bottle sampled in June 2006: Pours a cloudy orange with lots of sediment and a nicely-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of some lightly citrusy hops with some tart sour fruitiness. Body starts with a lightly sweet caramel maltiness quickly turning more tart and sour toward a bittersweet finish. Definitely seems infected and way off, but would probably be decent otherwise.

Golden pour with a white head. Strong pine and grass aromas, a light herbal character, and some oranges. Biscuit and bread malt notes with a moderate sweetness. The flavor is a little bitter and somewhat sweet. Bready malt, biscuit, and orange. Light herbal qualities, pine, and a bit of grass.

My Bottom Line:
Wet earth, hash and flower petals stand within this India Pale Ale’s cuddly mouthfeel, leading to a fruity, bitter finish.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the murky amber.
-That aroma was also barnyard-y, spiked with moth ball notes. Smelled like a hopped-up, old Bière de Garde from the French countryside.
-Malts offer sustenance but very little in the way of flavor.
-The hops’ fruitiness evoked oranges, while their floral character also delved into soap territory at times. .
-This wasn’t exactly unpleasant, but it is obvious that this bottle wasn’t in fine form.

Bottle.

Bomber courtesy of scrizz. Pours copper with a generous, creamy white head. Smells of perfume, wildflowers, funky, citrussy, grassy, earthy. Tastes of citrus, tarte, grassy, some perfumy hints. Dry finish. Excellent!

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit and summer fruit aroma with pine. Grapefruit and light caramel flavor with light sumemr fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine lingers with light caramel.
