3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Black pour, beige head. Interesting aroma - chocolate, lactose, fairly sweet with a little funky earthiness. Flavour is the same, a thin palate. Good flavour, a bit different, but kind of watery.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
I purchased this bottle from Breeze In, Juneau, Alaska and am reviewing this from notes.
I poured this into a pint glass.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one and a half fingered white to off white foamy head that rises a bit and then dies leaving a nice milky to creamy looking thick foamy lacing.
The smell was nice and roasty coffee to having a decent light chocolate settling over the aroma.
The taste was bitter to roasty and ended up leaving a decent roasty bitter coffee to chocolate aftertaste with a dry bitter finish.
On the palate, it sits about a light to medium with a decent harsh carbonation settling over the mouth and tongue as well as indicating a somewhat decent sessionability about it.
Overall, I say this is a good American Porter well worthy of having again.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head on there. Nose is roasty with a fair amount of coffee and just a hint of chocolate to it. Taste is actually a little bitter, and very slightly sour. Has some baltic porter characteristics, though not enough to represent that style.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body.
The aroma is mostly roasted malt and burnt wood, really nice.
The flavor is balanced and deep, roasted malt, burnt malt, charred wood, and mild bitter finish.
The texture is smooth with low to moderate carbonation.
An outstanding porter.
