Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body. The aroma is mostly roasted malt and burnt wood, really nice. The flavor is balanced and deep, roasted malt, burnt malt, charred wood, and mild bitter finish. The texture is smooth with low to moderate carbonation. An outstanding porter.

Lagerboy (1071) - British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 21, 2013
Bomber, courtesy of Eyrish. Hueless darkest brown, foamy mocha head slowly settles and mostly lasts. Dark roasted malt aroma, a hint of chocolate. Bittersweet roasted chocolate malt taste, some coffee bean. Average carbonation, medium bodied, lightly hopped. It is "smooth and well balanced" as stated, but still: NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

Bomber from Central City Liquor Store in Surrey. Almost black in color with a tan head and sweet chocolate on the nose. The malts are way up front and a distinctive chocolate note there as well.. The hops are well hidden. Not complex, but a nice porter all the same.

Sample at Pop Kitchen at the EMP. Dark brown with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of biscuit malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Theydon_Bois (7004) - The ’Sham, Surrey, ENGLAND - NOV 25, 2012
Tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, Seattle - 08/11/12. Mid black with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and forms a pond. Nose is big on roast malts, milk chocolate, liqourice, molasses. Tastes of milk choclate, molasses, touch of wood, roast malts, a little smoke. Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a slightly bitter roasty finish. A good porter!
