Sample at Pop Kitchen at the EMP. Dark brown with a medium tan head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Light-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of biscuit malt, chocolate and coffee. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Brouwer’s Cafe, Seattle - 08/11/12.
Mid black with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and forms a pond.
Nose is big on roast malts, milk chocolate, liqourice, molasses.
Tastes of milk choclate, molasses, touch of wood, roast malts, a little smoke.
Medium bodied with soft carbonation leading to a slightly bitter roasty finish.
A good porter!

Deep brown-black pour with a tight tan head. Roasty dry cocoa aroma with a lot of soft chocolate and some herbal hoppiness. Pretty straightforward, although that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Easy drinking. Dry finish.

650ml bottle pours a dark brown color with 2 fingers of head leaving a thin lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is roasted malts with some chocolate. Taste is roasted malt bitterness with some chocolately sweetness to balance things out. Medium body and soft carbonation. A pretty decent porter with nicely balanced flavors and recommended to try.

Black, light tan head. Roast on aroma, pretty chocolate forward, some acidic coffee and nuttiness. Has a moderate creamy body with a lot of chocolate and char that stops just short of being too ashy. Lingers chocolatey on the finish with a light caramel sweetness. Very nice robust porter.

1pint 6oz Btl. Pours black with a brown frothy head. Hints of Roast and nuts dominate the nostrils. Palate is live...very live, and the flavor is lightly bitter but refreshing. Overall; impressive... the puget porter is an excellant beer.
