COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winnter at the 2003 NABA. 1999 Gold Medal Winnter at the GABF.
Our brown porter is brewed with eight different malts to produce a smooth, well balanced, dark beer. A specially roasted barley provides a hint of chocolate.

Had a taste platter at the Harmon in downtown tacoma. This one was on it. Way to represent the 253! Good porter with a nice aroma to it. Head is frothy

Dark black, light head. Coffee roast nose, some licorice. Licorice roast coffee body with some soot, charcoal, and molasses. Black patent malt seems apparent. Like the porter a coal miner may drink. Solid.

bomber - clear, cola brown with thin, off-white head; fresh nutty aromas with bitter coffee and mild roast; full bodied and almost creamy; lovely texture and mouthfeel; not the most flavorful porter by any means, but very solid with that nice fresh roast and nutty flavors; touch of sweetness in the end

Cask Stillage from the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 24/09/2009 Coffee roast aroma. Dark coloured smooth on the palate and fruity with a little dryness and bitterness in a crisp and bitter coffee finish.

Out of a bottle at Collins Pub. Aromas of smoke and toasted malt. Pours black with barely any lace. But the taste--odd. Tastes of red fruits, nearly like red wine, and very vinegar like, with some bitter coffee beneath. Almost like they tried to make a sour porter.

on tap at collins for porter weekend. Pour was inpeneterable black color. Aroma was like a cold iced latte, notes of cocoa and coffee, but muted. Taste was bizarre, tart, vinegar, sour like, blended with the bitter coffee. Palate was thin.

Served from a 22oz bottle that I picked up on my last trip to Seattle. Pours a brown black with a small tan head. Light roasted malt, a little thin in taste.

Bottle, thanks to danielcurtis81 for sharing on his wedding week. Pours black with a brown edge and no head. Nose has coffee and some roasted malt with chocolate. Taste is bitter roasted malt and coffee, a little sour and light/lacking.
