COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winnter at the 2003 NABA. 1999 Gold Medal Winnter at the GABF.
Our brown porter is brewed with eight different malts to produce a smooth, well balanced, dark beer. A specially roasted barley provides a hint of chocolate.

Bottle. Pours almost black with some lighter edges. Had a failrly robust roasted and dark, semi sweet chocolate flavor. A bit thin. decent overall.

Dark brown and hazy, with a small rocky head. The aroma is full on roasted coffee and a dab of chocolate. Has a very nice hazelnut flavor, full of roasted coffee and sweet milk chocolate. Very easy to drink.

Small tan head on a ruby/black body. Aroma is sweet, malty with ssome chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel was smooth but a little thin. Flavour was nice with a roasted and light choclate taste ending with a slight bitterness.

Bottle pours a very dark chocolate brown with a very thick creamy tan head that finally settles to leave course blocky lacing. Aroma is an earthy coffe and chocolate. Slight raspberry, vanilla and maybe cola. Flavors are coffe and biter sweet chocolate, grape jelly and vinegar. Yes, the feel is smooth and slick. Goes down very easy. The trailer is of burnt wood That sour flavor throws me off.

Dark brown colour. Coffeeish, peanutty aroma with hints of almond skins. Nutty, chocolatey, slightly coffeeish body. Sort of thin and the flavours are simplistic. Woody, dry finish.

Dark black, light head. Coffee roast nose, some licorice. Licorice roast coffee body with some soot, charcoal, and molasses. Black patent malt seems apparent. Like the porter a coal miner may drink. Solid.

22. Black with a thick, creamy, moussy tan head. Light curly lace. Fairly neutral nose--light chalk and cocoa. Medium body that’s somehow alternately creamy and watery; very clean and easy to drink. Chocolatey and ever so slightly roasty mid-palate. Clean chalky finish. A bit too mild and sweet to be really exciting, but has no obvious flaws and disappears quickly.

Not quite black with a beautiful creamy head. A little coffee and chocolate. But, pretty light overall. Thin.

on tap at collins for porter weekend. Pour was inpeneterable black color. Aroma was like a cold iced latte, notes of cocoa and coffee, but muted. Taste was bizarre, tart, vinegar, sour like, blended with the bitter coffee. Palate was thin.

Dark pour with some ruby highlights. Fairly thin body with light chocolate notes, some cocoa, lightly roasted coffee and grass. A layup of a porter.
