This should really just be called an American Strong Ale, not an IPA. There isn’t enough hop profile. Rated as an american strong ale it’s not bad, just doesn’t fit the style. Smell is boozy and caramel-like. Pours clear brown. Has a little sweet plum, some oakiness. Decent drink if you don’t pay attention to the label. Thanks to Adrian for bringing me this one.

maybe a bad bottle, but hands down one of the worst beers I’ve had in some time. Devoid of hops, flat and listless. A strange and off-putting candy apple sweetness. Finish is alcohol and metallic. Drain pour.

I think I got a bad bottle - Very sour overall. Tart apricot and tangerine dominate this drink which is very oddly sweetened, almost sickly, and hopped with a wierd sappy hashish essence. It was basically flat out of the bottle which leads me to believe there was a problem with it. Would like to re-rate once I get a chance another.

Thanks to hopdog for this… Appears a hazy golden orange with small hops and yeast chunks in the bottom of the glass. A small white head that never leaves. Lots of lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of citrusy hops & caramel with some sweet maltiness and dough in the mix. Taste is of the same aromas with slight malt and sugar sticking out of the batch. Mouthfeel is sweet, malty, and doughy. Drinkability is decent overall with nice citrus.

Bomber (7.6% ABV). Pours a dark honey golden color with creamy off-white head. The aroma is a sweet and earthy blend of toasted malt, toffee and medicinal hops. The flavor begins with strong herbal hops and caramel malt notes followed by some butterscotch, pine and alcohol. The body is creamy with moderate carbonation and a dry, malty finish. It’s basically a stronger version of the Point Defiance IPA that’s a little too sweet and medicinal for my tastes.

Cloudy orang with floaties and medium white lacing headl. Aroma is pine, citrus background. Flavor is citrus, caramel, honey. Palate is smooth with a honey sweet aftertaste. Mature and well blended.

this harmon offering was a pleasant surprise. there is a strong and pleasing malt note to this DIPA which makes it entirely drinkable and leaves you wanting more. There is absolutely no bias due to Tacoma being my home town...a good ale is where you find it!
