500ml bottle from Oklahoma liquor. Golden yellow with small moat sum of a head. Aroma of corn, perfume and something funky I can’t describe. Sour apple finish that strips the coating right off my tongue and the sides of my mouth…probably my sink too! Alcohol somewhat noticeable. Yuck.

Harnas From Polish Mountains, probably should stay up in the Polish Mountains. Pretty uninteresting, this slightly sweet brew, leaves much to be desired. Color reminiscent of cheap costume jewelry. Kind of a sticky finish, which makes sense considering there isn’t much there except a little bit of sweet malt. The one bright spot, aside from the guy on the box (no not on the label, but on the box) is the nice bubbly head. But that dies off really fast. Drinkable? Yeah, would I go out of my way to find it or get it? No way. If you feel like it, go to Mill Creek Central Market (best beer shop in Sno.County) and pick it up there.

Highly carbonated bronze with thick airy head. Sweet malt note, grainy, perhaps some corn in nose. Easy malt flavor, mild graininess. Well-balanced. Nicely done for a pils. Highly drinkable, though fairly simple, bit of a bland finish.

Bottle. Head is initially small, fizzy, white, fully diminishing. Body is clear medium yellow. Aroma is lightly to moderately malty (grain, husks), trace hops (herbs), with notes of soap, metal, and fusel alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately bitter, husky. Medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Not much to like in this, especially the higher alcohols and husky/grainy character. Could be worse I guess, but it’s a drain pour for sure.

500ml can from local East European shop. The extra strength gives more body and smoothness to this East European lager than is normal. There are few off flavours, but also little character. Hops are minimal.
