500ml can. Pours light gold with a medium head. Aroma is corn with some honey. Taste is some very light malt. Really watery. Not bad, just no real taste at all.

Rating #616, bottle at Øst-ølsmagning

Yellow beer with a quite acceptable head. Aroma is really dissapointing with some vague malts, metal and pure alcohol like a strong vodka or something. Taste is alcoholic with an indistinct apple-like cider impression, and then more alcohol again. Finish is slightly bitter and alcoholic. Palate is thin, especially for a 6% vol. beer. This is only suitable if you like the taste of pure alcohol, but don’t want to be as hammered as if you were drinking pure vodka.

Can 50cl, a clear golden beer with medium head and heavy carbonation. Nose is alcoholic like. Aroma is low malted, dry, no hops just metallic !! Absolutely no aroma, no body, what for is that beer brewed ?

500ml can. Dark-yellow colour, long-lasting, white, bitter foam. Inspite this, it’s a watery and sweet beer. Nice, slicky, refreshing, light but alcoholic. I felt some ginger at the end of gulps(?).

Überaus wässriges Bier, von vorne bis hinten. Ab und an getreidig-herber Touch, im Antrunk leicht malzig. Misslungen. Test vom 11.5.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,4,5,2,8,4 - 4,35

UPDATED: MAR 16, 2011 tall can@friend’s house: distinct grains + some malt, not much else, slight bitter hop note, very simple lager, but satisfying for what it is, middling but still enjoyable and refreshing

500ml bottle. Pours a rich, deep gold, darker than the standard euro pale lagers. It has a right white head that dissipates rather quickly. The smell is very malty with hints of honey, there is an overlying off scent that is a bit metallic. Theres no sign of hops. The mouthfeel is thicker than most Euro Pale lagers, the flavor is rich and malty with not much hp bitterness. The mouthfeel is thick but with a high carbonation level, not bad. It packs more of a punch than most at 6.2 and it bridges the gap between Euro pale lager and Euro strong lager. It is pretty drinkable though. At .99 a pop this stuff is well worth it, it is a slightly stronger than average lager with a rich malty flavor. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 03-01-2010 21:58:45

Best before July! Very slight skunk in the aroma, a sugary, watery sweetness otherwise. A bready sweetness with zero bitterness comprises the flavor, pretty yucky. Bland would be better, this is too sweet to be bland. Zero evidence hops are actually used in the brewing of this beer except for when they form volatile compounds in the aroma. Bad. Somewhat too frothy.

28-Feb-10 (500-ml bottle: Purchased 02-Feb-10 for $2.09 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) These pale lagers may not taste so great, but they certainly are pretty when poured into a tall Pilsener glass; it’s crystal clear and golden-yellow in color, with countless streams of small carbonation bubbles rise slowly through beer to join with the inch-tall, fluffy, white head. Very grainy in flavor, corny, sweet, some honey, lot of paper and cardboard, and backed by a light bitterness. Aromas of cardboard and dank grains. Light bodied, moderately carbonated, leaves the mouth feeling stale and coated with glue. Overall, just another generic Eastern European pale lager, one that is pretty awful if the senses are not numbed cold. Not remotely enjoyable.
