Harp 5% Export is a premium lager with a 5% alcohol content and a rich, smooth taste. Harp is also exported to Europe and Canada.

The Celtic Harp is unique to Ireland and is as much a part of being Irish as the love of life, good music and the appreciation of a finely crafted beer. Harp is brewed to the traditional Irish way, from some of the finest barley and purest water in the world, for a fuller, richer flavour. Harp Lager’s distinctive taste complements any cuisine.

A hoppy dry lager with the standard floral and honey notes on top of the bready malts and corn grains.

From a mixed pack of Irish beers. Typical commercial lager nose. Fermentation grains and added sugars. Average strenght. Visual: Gold blond, clear and sparkling. Average thickness head, rocky, with a good lasting. A slight lacing sticking to glass and leaving some traces. Taste: A thin watery texture is announcing the start of a deception. Cereals are showing up after, but without any conviction. We can feel fresh bread accents, a slight buttery caramel; all that with an absolute discretion. Balance is weak with a moderate carbonation. Hops are almost absent.

500ml can. Pours a clear gold with a 2 finger head that dissipates quickly. Heavily carbonate. Moderate lacing. Sweet cereal aroma. Light a crisp mouth. Smooth traditional lager, lightly bitter on the finish. Finish is short wit minimal aftertaste. Enjoyable and refreshing.

Can- pours a clear pale gold in the glass with a massive rocky cap that laces. Aroma of cooked cereal and noble hops. Heavily carbonated. Medium body for a lager, malt accented. Flavour is uncomplicated - pale malt breadiness balanced well with German hops, clean finish, lightly bitter. Rounded , approachable, smooth – one of the better all grain commercial lagers out there. Certainly a far cry better than the original Harp lager.

The Celtic Harp is unique to Ireland, but a lager is not. Nevertheless, this is a rather pleasant, well-balanced lager. Nice and crisp, I’d have it again.
