2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Marko (3115) - Split, - SEP 4, 2006
UPDATED: OCT 4, 2006 5% version. Seems to be brewed side by side (according to born on dates) with the 4.3 version. That one doesn’t have a trace of the harp, and has "Great Northern Brewery" all over it, and this is quite traditional looking. Doesn’t call itself Harp Export Lager, but it says quite prominently "Imported - Importée" and "Imported Lager".
Poured a nice golden colour with a medium to big fluffly white head that went away fast. Initially very fizzy, but that dies out soon enough. The nose is mainly malt, honey, some graininess, and a hint of dust, relatively faint (my nose isn’t exactly in top shape though). The taste is damn smooth, caramelly, with an underlying bitterness that’s not all that pleasant, hints of metal, some sourness. Some very, very weak fruitiness (grape style). Not a brilliant lager, but a solid, drinkable one. I really should’ve had this colder and side by side with the 4.3 version.... guess a rerate is pending for both.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 reebtogi (2191) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 16, 2012
On tap and in 330ml bottle. I will rate the tap version as I thought it was a little more flavorful. Poured pale golden amber color with a finger of white head that left a little bit of lacing on the glass. Aromas of mild grains and some light toasted notes with a light grassy finish. Taste is malty sweet with mild toasty bitterness and a bit of citrus but mostly grassy hop bitterness as well. Quite a nice lager and deserved of premium status. If I had to rate the bottle I would give it a couple ticks less, maybe 2.9.

500 ml can from the lcbo.
Golden pour, big fluffy white head.
Aroma of toasted grains and slight cooked vegetables. A little watery, and a very low bitter finish. A little corny in the end. Meh, lawnmower beer.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Frothmeister (247) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 25, 2012
500ml can. Pours a light gold with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet malt, honey, with some metallic notes. Taste is slightly sweet, with decent malt notes, a surprising floral taste, honey notes, and light hopping in the finish. Much better than the nose would lead to to believe. For a lager, this is pretty darn good. Surprise, surprise.

Cannette verte de 355 ml et bouteille 330 ml. 5%. Couleur jaune or, mousse blanche. Arôem de maïs et malt. En bouche, céréale et malt. Finale sans histoire. Quoi ?! Totalement surévaluée...le nom est connu donc elle est assez bien évaluée...personnellement sans histoire, d’autres bières inconnus étaient bien meilleures mais moins bien évaluées. Correct.

On tap; pours standard golden color. Aroma is of wheat and almost corn. Taste like any standard lager ... easy drinking. Not sure if I would order this myself though it was in the airport lounge.

Bottle. A nice refreshing, wheaty lager. A little higher abv than regular Harp lager. Not bad.
