Can 500ml. Pours pale blond with medium-high off-white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of grain, sugar, some herbs. Taste is of grain, pils malt?, sugar, citrus, slight bitterness. Palate: Light body. High carbonation. Somewhat crisp. Good balance. Overall: Decent but not extremely interesting. Easily drinkable.

Tap pour at Cooper in the perfect Harp glass. Very pale golden color and a hearty head that clings well to the glass. Taste is slightly bitter but really representative of pale lager from Europe. Definitely smooth. One if those beers that needs to be super fresh to meet expectations. Today is one of those days.

Bottle pours brilliant clear gold with thin white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, honey and a bit of clove as it warmed. Taste is honey slight grain. Sweet on the front with a slighly bitter finish. medium light body.

The colour of straw, microhead. Left lacing down the side, strange. A little grassy smell, maybe some noble hops. Taste is pretty clean, little grassy, a lot of Wimpy. Waste of time now. Was better.

DATE TASTED: January 18, 2014... GLASSWARE: 22 oz. pilsner...OCCASION:cheering on PSU’s first BIG 10 win? ... APPEARANCE: actively bubbly, light gold body; thick, rocky snow-white head; lacing beautifully etches the glass... AROMA: soapy, lightly doughy presence; just as readily, thick beefy aroma less appealing than its appearance... PALATE: medium-bodied, slightly oily end; slightly fizzy,, but otherwise drinkable ...TASTE: slightly sweet,, toasted oat base; some lemon, some less noteworthy buttery flavors... OVERALL: an old Bloomsburg bar favorite revisited; situated among the usual Guinness offerings, not a bad diversion from its scrumptious stout...

This would make a great low ABV light beer (at 4.3%). It has a great flavor--crisp, clean, and smooth without tasting weak.

A nice lager, really. It’s got a nice hoppiness but also a smooth finish. That’s about as complex as the flavor gets, but simple isn’t bad when it’s done right. And, for the most part, this beer does it right.

Something different, has decent hoppy and bitter character for a pale lager, although I'm not convinced of the significance of the "genuine Irish recipe" as advertised on the bottle. I found the aroma to be industrial-tinged, but on the other hand the appearance was distinctive with a golden bronze color and plenty of lacing and foamy head. The taste was good with grainy and bitter flavors, balanced with a clean finish. Smooth, but also a bit too watery. A pleasant lighter lager, but doesn't strike me as all that authentic. Now that I look, the label says "product of Canada", go figure. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
