The Irish call this one "Harpic" (after the toilet cleaner). Not a big fan of it either. Light grain malting. Quite hoppy. Not adventurous. Almost a vinegar flavour - something which I had never come across in beer before. Not smooth, a bit rough. The pint I had had no head retention. Maybe it was just a bad pint.

Clear pale golden appearance with medium head. Malty and corny aroma, some sweetness. Refreshing. Decent Pale Lager.

Pours a straw color with virtually no head. Aroma is corn and grain, bringing back fond memories of college. Taste is classic malty lager. I am enjoying this beer much more than I thought I would. Overall, a pretty good lager.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass most of the time but has been consumed from a pilsener glass as well. The one noticeable differences between the two glasses was a slightly larger and longer lasting head in the pilsener glass. The appearance was basically a light ruddy orange color with a quickly dissipating head. There wasnít much lacing whatsoever. The smell had a stale bready maltiness running about it with some light apricots in and out. The taste was semi - sweet through the malts and basically just let the apricot blend into a disguised fruitiness. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi - sessionable quality about it. The carbonation finishes very smooth. Overall, not a bad beer just not exactly a go to, though Iíve never been a fan of the smell of this one.

1 pint can. Pours a pale golden with small white head that settles into a small rim that leaves somes lacing. Nose is of light peppery hops and fruity corn. Taste is pretty hard to find, dry and pretty much only void. Some light cereals and mineral water. Body is light, carbonation is high and mouthfeel is watery. Overall this was not good, refreshing if you donít think too much about it but otherwise it is just incredibly boring. Meh.

On tap at a local Irish Pub. I remember trying this 12 years ago in college and thinking it was so bitter and heavy. Itís astonishing to try it now. Light pale clear golden pour. Surprisingly mild on pretty much everything. Some mild floral and vinegar notes. Weird.

(bottle) Iíve had this several times over the years, but it seemed like an appropriate time to add now. Enjoyed this one after a Gaelic football match between County Mayo and New York at the GAA. One of my least favorite Irish offerings, but it has its place.

The body has great clarity and a bright yellow straw color. Its head is thick with big pillowy stiff peaks. It has great retention and leaves behind lots of cool lacing. The aroma has pleasant aromatic hops and light malt. Its flavor has a good balance of sweet, light malts with mellow leafy and floral hops. Bitterness is mild and fades to a clean finish. Its texture is smooth and wet with average carbonation and a light to medium body that is very drinkable. For me this was a very enjoyable beer with a beautiful look and pleasing aroma. The flavor is clean, refreshing and highly drinkable.

Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Cereal grain on the nose with just a bit of floral hop notes; follows onto the palate. Finishes clean and crisp.
