On tap at a local Irish Pub. I remember trying this 12 years ago in college and thinking it was so bitter and heavy. It’s astonishing to try it now. Light pale clear golden pour. Surprisingly mild on pretty much everything. Some mild floral and vinegar notes. Weird.

(bottle) I’ve had this several times over the years, but it seemed like an appropriate time to add now. Enjoyed this one after a Gaelic football match between County Mayo and New York at the GAA. One of my least favorite Irish offerings, but it has its place.

The body has great clarity and a bright yellow straw color. Its head is thick with big pillowy stiff peaks. It has great retention and leaves behind lots of cool lacing. The aroma has pleasant aromatic hops and light malt. Its flavor has a good balance of sweet, light malts with mellow leafy and floral hops. Bitterness is mild and fades to a clean finish. Its texture is smooth and wet with average carbonation and a light to medium body that is very drinkable. For me this was a very enjoyable beer with a beautiful look and pleasing aroma. The flavor is clean, refreshing and highly drinkable.

Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Cereal grain on the nose with just a bit of floral hop notes; follows onto the palate. Finishes clean and crisp.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with white head. Taste grassy, sweet, light. I thought this was good. I would drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

As far as pale lagers go this is one okay compared to the American ones, straw colored pour with a white head, slight sweet flavor of malt with a light bitter finish
