3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 ultraspank (867) - Dublin, USA - APR 20, 2002
Had one of these on tap at the Old Bag of Nails in Grandview. This brew pours a clear golden. The average creamy white head is mostly diminishing with good lacing. The fruity nose has hints of flowers and perfume, along with caramel. The light crisp flavor is mostly sweet, and finishes with a nutty astringent bitterness. The smooth light creamy palate has soft carbonation. Bland, but still above average.

Bottle. Pours yellow straw colored with sudsy white head that fades. Aroma has malt some sweetness and grain. Taste is malty with grain and a subtle sweetness and finishes slightly bitter. Palate is thin and chalky.

Rather drinkable and smooth during, but the start and finish is somewhat abrupt.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 hivemind (430) - New York, New York, USA - APR 29, 2012
12-oz bottle with dinner. Poured into Guinness glass. Medium gold color, quickly receeding head. Nose is bland, some metal. Taste is somewhat metallic but actually quite balanced and not really watery. Fair amount of bitterness and a crisp finish. Definitely drinkable.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Onenote81 (902) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2012
Originally reviewed: 10/22/10. Had this beer on-tap at Finnegan’s Wake in town for lunch. Came out a crystal clear pale gold with a thin white head on top. Light lace left behind. The nose was basic: some light grains, buttered-bread, faint hops. Nice crisp clean mouth on it. Refreshing. Nice grainy breads in the flavor, hints of bitter hops, and a smooth sweet finish. This paired very well with my Irish fare. Not a bad beer. I liked it.

Has a sweet aroma, and sweet taste, which makes this a very appealing lager.

Clear golden with a thin white head. The aroma is pale-lager malty with notes of straw and caramel. The flavor is the same with dry notes of adjunct.
2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
Originally rated March 2005. Damn, for a lager, the head is creamy and white, and also has good retention, very good. Lacing is rocking too. Its colour is golden and carbonation is pretty intense. The nose is pretty much malt. Taste is crisp and kind of lemony, so refreshing - yes. Quite smooth and creamy. Not the best of beer, but easily accessible and descent for a lager.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 lowg (141) - Scarborough, Ontario, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
500ml cans from LCBO; bought a bunch for last St. Patty’s day. Nothing special; typical macro lager. Better than the typical Molbatt’s stuff out there as it has some body and doesn’t taste like water.

Quality taste. You can drink a lot of these. I agree they go good with the game. Great on St. Pats day. From Ireland, which is nice. Needs to be 5.0 ABV. Oh well, still good.
