Harpers American Brown Ale

On tap at Harpers, listed as "American Brown Ale." Deep brown body, opaque, thin light tan head. Sweet, tangy aroma with a touch of dark fruits and dark, roasted malts. Opens with a big, chocolatey, roasty malt bite, with a sweet chocolate kick. Strong, bitter finish, with notes of soy and smoke. Bitter earthy hops finish. Rich and quite complex, stronger than most brown ales. Well-done.
