Sweet, roasted notes of chocolate and honey malts combine with Chinook, Simcoe and Amarillo hops in this welcome addition to our family of IPAs.

Had at klobys Very light and almost watery. Not much hops on nose. Much darker color than an IPA ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at Rattle n Hum. Pours amber with an off white head. Chocolate malts and grassy hops, with light earthy notes, mild sweetness, and light toasted malts, followed by a more malty chocolatey finish. Pretty good.

Pours a deep caramel color with a watery texture and a thin head. Aroma is citrus and pine. Flavor is coffee, roasted malt and more pine. A strange combination.

1 pint, 6 oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Pours a deep rubyish brown with moderate-sized light tan head. Aroma is fairly malty, both toasty and sweet with caramel, chocolate and nuts, as well as a modest mostly floral/herbal hoppiness. Flavour is modestly sweet and modestly toasty with caramel, chocolate, toasted grains, nuts and floral, herbal and slightly spicy hoppiness. Slick mouthfeel. Nice hybrid of styles.

A malt forward aroma combined with floral notes rises from a rich translucent mahogny hued pour supporting a tan ring and producing minimal lacing. The palate, however, is predominately hoppy - pine, resin and floral notes. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, this is a nice bitter IPA, perfect for a hot Texas day.

Bomber from Wine Warehouse. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large foamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of tropical, citrus, pine hops, mild caramel and chocolate. The taste is citrus, resin hops, mild caramel and brown malt, a bit of pine. Thin-medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness. Finally have had a beer tonight that doesn’t suck! (Champion Brewing, I’m only referring to beers I’ve had since I got home, not that excellent Slaycation I had earlier.)

Ruby color with foamy off white head. Piney, floral hoppy aroma. The long lasting flavor of piney fruity floral hops, notable crystal malt. Solid beer. Love the barrel series

UPDATED: APR 7, 2014 Sampled on draft at Dad’s pub this beer poured a dark nut brown color with a medium sized foamy tan head that faded and left minimal lacing. The aroma was bitter, pine and fruity hops with a nutty toffee undertone. The flavor was dry and bitter with pine, fruity hops, lemon, nut, toffee, wood and lots of crystal malt. Long bitter finish of pine, fruity hops and wood. Medium body. Ok.

[Bottle (22oz)] Pours a deep dark amber with a large lasting frothy beige head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of sweet toasted malt, nuts, light catty & piney hops and a hint of chocolate. Flavour is almost black IPA-ish, a little nuttier and a little less roasty, pleasant enough. Leafy and piney with a moderate bitter finish. Average bodied. Enjoyable.
