COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We worked with our friends at Equal Exchange to brew this English style Porter. Specialty malts provide caramel and dark chocolate notes and a sweet, smooth body, while coffee beans grown in the Mexican El Triunfo biosphere yield roasted, bittersweet notes that compliment the malty sweetness. The result is a balanced beer that showcases the flavors and aromas of both beer and coffee - a fitting equal exchange.

22oz bottle, shared by tmoney99. Best by 3/15/13. Very nice roasty Turkish coffee nose. Clear dark brown color. Minimal tan head. Few dots of lace Medium to lighter body. Dry texture. Lighter carbonation. Taste is a bit of a let down from the aroma. Kind of feels a little watered down. Little bitter taste, but lacking even on that. Some macro-blandness, in the flavor, even. Impressive nose, but everything else about this is a bit of a let-down for me.

The aroma is very coffee like with burnt malt, chocolate, and cream. The appearance is brown with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is soft and smooth. Overall a good coffee porter without the burnt coffee taste.

A big beer with a solid coffee flavor, although its very weak in the overall flavor. Still it's smooth a refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pretty good. Pours deep red / brown with a tan head. Aroma is primarily bourbon / vanilla. Relatively thin, with coffee notes in mouth. Finish is slightly bitter coffee; sticky.

Pretty decent offering from Harpoon. Pours deep and dark. Nose is heavy coffee and roasted malts. Flavor follows suit with more roasted malts and lots of black coffee. And more coffee. Really a decent beer

Delicious poured a creamy slightly transparent chocolate brown, extreme coffee on the nose, bittersweet chocolate flavor that lingered pleasantly, great balance comping form a mass produced brew house.

Really rich aroma of roasted coffee, chocolate, and nuts. Taste is sweet and finishes quite bitter. This is really tasty beer from Harpoon. Very highly recommended!!!

Aroma of pure coffee. Pours deep brown with a nice blanket of tan head. Taste is smooth roasty coffee. A little coffee dominant but a perfect neutral mouthfeel to back it up. Great cup of Joe.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted dark coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted dark coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good complex brew.
