Flavour is very leafy as well with a sour young hop flavour and a tart West Coast finish. Dry pasty bitter finish. bigrond (1055), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 24, 2006 this is the best beer harpoon makes. Nice hazy dark brown/red with an off white head that never leaves. Flavor seem to start malty then hops take over leaving you with a dry slow lingering aftertaaste. The smoothness and lack of carbonation lends to easy drinking. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2006 22oz bottle thanks to argo0: Pours to a mostly clear amber body with some small particles visable suspended an floating around (very fine, not protein). There’s a large eggshell head that lasts with just a little bit of lacing around the outside of the glass. The aroma is quite hoppy, moreso than I was expecting. There’s notes of herbs, grassy/earthy hops, and some bitter plant. The taste is pretty bitter, showing some earthy/grapefruit/citrus rind, a bit of bread, and some salt. Medium bodied, medium carbonated, definitely very, very hoppy for the style. argo0 (7047), Washington DC, USA

More bitter than the style suggests. An Imperial Keller? lordeche (397), Quincy, Massachusetts, USA
