22oz Bottle. Purchased at Thorpe’s Wine and Spirits - East Greenwich, RI. Pours a furious hazy orange and gold, with a thick, fluffy khaki creampuff. Aroma is a bit odd. Caramel, apples, dust, toast, and bananas. Mingled. The flavor belies this beer’s unfortunate age. Tangy malt sugars fly around with some sprightly yeasts and a good bit of oxidation. I suppose a beer this light could never stave off the perils of time. Body is fresh, airy and bubbling against the palate. Very nice carbonation. Some generic old spices mingle in the background. I sense a quality beer beneath the fog of age. This had some malty depth and a nice yeast character for sure.

22oz bottle acquired in trade. Not sure who sent this one. Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of straw, toasted malts, and I was getting some citrus - rinds in there too. Tastes of straw, wheatiness, the same citrus, and some caramel. Light lacing left on the glass.

12-oz bottle received via Secret Santa July 2008. Pours amber with an average foamy off-white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, hay, straw), light hops (herbs, grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of soap, pears, and wet paper. Light bodied, thin texture, light carbonation, and a chalky finish. Long duration, light sweetness and bitterness, moderate acidity.

Pours turbid deep dull copper with 1-finger off-white head. Nose is wheaties, caramel malt, spicy yeast, hopcitrus. Tastes of spicy yeast, rye wheat, funky hops, and malt, with a creamy texture and nice complexity.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. A hazy orange beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a hay like note of hops, leading to a dry bitter finish.

12 oz bottle; poured a dark orange/amber with a medium sized, creamy, white head. Aroma was sweet with toasted malt, vanilla and caramel. Aroma got better to me. Haven’t had this style for a while. Good amount of hoppy bitterness; hops were mostly herbal and grassy. Very good grassy flavors. Malts were slightly sweet, nutty and toasted. Solid beer.

Hazy goldish amberish color. Descent malt tagging along with its own eartiness consisting of grass and nut. Slight overcarbonation, but it doesnt distract too much. Sweet with some light fruits showing up.
