COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This one-of-a-kind, limited-batch creation has a rich body and a smooth feel derived from a combination of roasted barley and chocolate rye malts. The roasted notes of the stout blend beautifully with the briny, mineral flavors of Island Creek Oysters, which were added to the brew moments after being harvested in Duxbury Bay. An addition of hops adds a hint of bitterness and aroma to balance the sweetness from the malt combination. This beer is best enjoyed in a pint glass with a plate full of Island Creek Oysters.

The body has dark opaque body which is black in color. On top stands a tall tan head which is thick and looks similar to the foam on top of chocolate milkshake. It is long lasting and makes lots of sticky lacing as I drink. The aroma is rich and roasted with toasted dark maltiness. Hints of dark chocolate, toasted bread mix with a slight mineral like edgy character from the shellfish. Some leafy hop notes are also detected here. There is defiantly a heavy hit of dark roasted maltiness with notes of chocolate malt, dark caramel, some light ABV and a interesting almost salty mineral like thing going on in there. Leafy herbal like hops add a bit of bitterness and flavor as well. The hops are most noticeable in the finish. Its texture is firm but not too thick or viscose as to be hard to drink or cloying. It has a nice level of carbonation and drinks very well without being too thin or watery.

sample at EBF, briny and salty like a gose but balanced well with roasty malts. Bitter salty finish, This is neat and surprisingly an easy drinker.

Very dark brown, thin beige head. Dark malt aromas, slight mineral quality coming from the oysters. On the tongue, there is a coffee like bitterness followed by a salty, mineral, subtle clean ocean flavor which I like. The oysters are certainly present but still subtle. A great dry stout. Went very well with pastrami.

Nice starting head that is generous with the lace. Dark brown, but not black. Light opaquely shines through. Classic dark chocolate smells. Very little chaulkiness. Thin bodied, but otherwise excellent stout flavors of bitter malt flavor. No milk or sweetness, but I can detect subtle hop in the background.

Deep rich roasted flavor, slightly brinny after taste. A little salt. NIce dry stout. Nothing exceptional. But it is interesting and worth a go.

Bottle. Pours black/brown with a tan head that left good rings of lace. Aroma was roasty & malty with chocolate and coffee. Flavor was slightly sweet with bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, light caramel, a bit of smoke and had some mineral notes with a dry and roasty finish. A decent stout

[bottle--thanks, Brad!] Sweet roast and molasses aroma with some sweet cream and dark chocolate. Opaque brown-black with clear, ruddy brown highlights and a lasting, thin, light brown cover. Sweet and roasty vanilla and hazelnutty mocha flavour with a moderate bitterness. Balance toward sweet, with a dark brown sugar finish and notes of liquorice. Medium to full body, moderate to medium carbonation, sweet, nutty and dark molasses finish.

My first time trying an oyster stout; I have become a fan. This beer was smooth and had wonderful balanced flavors. The roasted malt and coffee beans paired well with the earthy, flinty mineral flavors that the oysters added to the beer. The mild bitter hops in the finish balanced the beer very well.
