This beer is brewed with our proprietary yeast Ė the same yeast weíve used since first brewing Harpoon Ale Ė and some interesting hop varieties. The combination of Pale, Rye, Caramel 60, Flaked Rye, and Vienna yield a complex malt body that stands up to the spiciness of the rye and the pronounced hop flavor. The rye also adds a reddish hue to the beer. The kettle additions of Centennial, Apollo, and Chinook, and the dry hop addition of Falconerís Flight add a multidimensional hop character.

Pours the usual IPA medium brown with a white head. The nose is rye spice. The taste is accentuated by the rye - spicy with a backbone of malt.

From backlog. Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange with a small head that quickly fades. Aroma is spicy and floral with a hint of citrus. Taste is smooth with lots of spicy , floral, and citrus hops. Some pine too. Psicy rye bread finish. Alittle dry but pretty refreshing. Solid rye ipa.

12oz bottle with no mention that it was a 100 barrel series on the label. Best buy date was a couple of months before I drank this even though I just purchased it from the store a few days ago. Not sure it had anything to do with the past best by date but I was a little disappointed with this one. Pretty average IPA with the rye flavor masking most of the other flavors. Itís just OK.

Great for lovers of a good, bitter IPA. Pours hazy gold with a thin head. Beautiful fruity flowery aroma, nice bitter taste on the front and a solid aftertaste. Not too complex but a solid IPA with a tasty rye flavor

Bottle. Pours a clear copper body under a one inch frothy beige head. The nose is a mix of caramel and light rye with just a little spicy and floral hops. The flavor is a little too heavy on the caramel, largely dulling the spiciness from the rye and the floral hops. Pretty muddled on the overall, too much sweetness in here. Light to medium bodied with soft fizzy carbonation. Not up my alley all that much.
