COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer is brewed with our proprietary yeast Ė the same yeast weíve used since first brewing Harpoon Ale Ė and some interesting hop varieties. The combination of Pale, Rye, Caramel 60, Flaked Rye, and Vienna yield a complex malt body that stands up to the spiciness of the rye and the pronounced hop flavor. The rye also adds a reddish hue to the beer. The kettle additions of Centennial, Apollo, and Chinook, and the dry hop addition of Falconerís Flight add a multidimensional hop character.

Decent sized light beige head of fine and dense bubbles. Light hops and grain notes in the aroma along with a hint of grapefruit and a bit of roasted malts. Color is a bright orange brown. Flavor is mild with a rather strong bitterness that lingers throughout the drink. More roasted malts and a definite presence from the rye. Dries the brew out and gives it a slight chalky and pasty mouthfeel. Very easy drinking and with very little alcohol presence. A pretty good IPA.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. The pour is a clear, golden amber body with a dense, fluffy, buttermilk head. Good lacing. Looks the part of a solid IPA. The nose is orange candy and sugar. Taste is candy sweet with pancake batter and full buttery biscuit. Very rich mouthfeel with quenching maltiness and fullness like Kern River Just Outstanding IPA, but not nearly the IPA-gasm that Just Oustanding is. So...great aesthetics but lacking in the olfactory department.

Draft at Paradiso Dupont. Cloudy golden color, thick white head, solid lacing. Aroma of simple pine. Taste is pine! and light pumpernickel, dry finish. OK.

22 oz bottle. Pours a nice, hazy gold/orange with frothy white head. Aroma of sharp pine and citrus with nice malt back bone. Flavor is much the same with obvious rye presence and a nice hoppy bite in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium-heavy body with high carbonation. Overall, good stuff!

22 oz bottle bought at a local grocery store. Pours amber/orange with a healthy white sticky head that leaves some nice lace. Resinous hop aroma with citrus and a hint of rye. Taste leads with pine resin and citrus, but is cut with rye. Itís an interesting combination of flavor I canít really describe. Full, creamy palate with "just right" carbonation. Starts and ends bitter.

Pours cloudy dark golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, rye, caramel, citrus and grape. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter. Body is meidum, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

on tap at the brewery this is a rich full bodied and tasteful brew complex with flavors of rye, spice like caraway and grapefruit hop delightfully in competition with a full fresh from the farm malt character and aroma that permeates from about a block away from the brewery. deep enough brown in color it is satisfying just a little sweet and has a lingering finish that is a little sharp and tingly in flavor and carbonation with some caramel. hmmm hmmm good.

Pours a soft clean golden amber with one finger of sticky offwhite head. Rich spicy nose with some citrus rind and toasted bread and a light grassy character. Spicy flavor with a bit more of a bite than Iíd like, goes well with a gyro though. Mild malty sweetness. Palate is kind of sharp with a medium body.

Shared by emacgee. Thanks Ethan. Fairly translucent orange amber with light white head. Nose is rye, citrus, floral, some light butter. Sticky sweet flavor (more butter detected) that finishes with lots of bitterness. Meh.
