3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled during CBC 2013. 12oz bottle, though, if I recall - labeled as Harpoon Rye IPA. Light American hop aroma, citrus, touches of pine, with bready malts and a light spice kick. Maltier flavor than Iíd like, bready, caramel, a touch of spice, a hint of citrus and pine hops. Not bad.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Harpoon Rich & Danís Rye IPA has a thick, creamy, off-white head, a clear, orange-golden appearance, and lots of lacing rings left behind on the glass. The aroma is of spicy, pungent, sweet malt, with a rye peppery aspect. Flavor is the same, with hearty bitterness and bread crust. Mouthfeel is medium and soft, and Harpoon Rich & Danís Rye IPA finishes semi-dry, refreshing, and highly drinkable. The 6.9% abv really does not present itself. Overall, this is a very delicious beer, and I think you should check it out. RJT

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 12 oz) Sampled from variety pack. Clear golden pour with a thick white head. Citrus and floral hops dominate the nose with a mild rye dryness and some sweet malt at the end. Dry hops with lots of bitterness at the front. The rye is very prevalent and adds a great dry and bitter finish to it. Really smooth.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On draught at Black Bear Saloon in BDL. The beer pours a clear pale amber color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and roast malt. Medium-bodied with a moderately bitter hops character with rye and caramel malt flavors in the background. The finish is hoppy with a mildly spiced rye aftertaste. Above average overall.
