3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Moderate head that leaves very good ring lace after each sip. The liquid is neutral amber with a very light haze.
Dry and earthy aroma. Good hop as I pull my nose away.
Okay, this is strange, the first flavor I note is...pate. It’s a meaty taste with a note of oysters. The hop takes over in the swallow without much more than a bittering effect. The body is as expected and the carbonation is mildly elevated.

Not a fan. It has a taste of like a Heineken with less skunk then a clean finish. It gets better as you drink it but it doesn't immediate grab me.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amber hue of sweet nectar, my god this is a smooth beer. It has aromas of apricots, whisky and honey. A cloudy wildflower appearance. Carbonation is on the light side but very acceptable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear amber, white head recedes to a thin film, great lacing. Nice bright hop aroma, citrus, some grass. Taste is a nice light malty character followed by a huge crisp citric bite. Light spiciness too. Finish is dry and crisp, very fizzy and a lingering citrus aftertaste. Great RIPA!

Amber with a large off-white head. Smells of bread and grapefruit. Tastes of soapy pine and grapefruit.

@ Party Town / Florence KY Clear dark orange with a 1" rocky off-white head, wide bands of lace. Taste is caramel malt with an overtone of dry rye that grows substantially through the palate, adding burnt toast and a bit of spice before finishing with light bittering. The only weakness would be a lack of balance in the finish - too much spice and rye, not enough bittering. I know there are dry and wet hop additions, but they don’t match the grains.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours clear, pale amber with a fine white head that fades and leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, a bit of pine, a bit of grass and fruit. Taste is lightly malty with a lot of abrupt hop flavour. Highish carbonation, medium body. Definitely not a subtle beer.

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A solid rye IPA. Orange amber with thin white head. OK nose--mostly hops, hints of rye. Clean drinking, bitter hops with moderate rye spiciness. A little chewy on the palate, which is nice. Nothing exceptional, but overall pretty good. Just would want a little malt backbone or more resiny hops, ideally.

At the Windsor brewery. A play off of the long-time flagship of their IPA with the addition of Rye into the mix. Another of my "gotos" when at Harpoon for an event... love that rye spiciness.
