2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20Nothing special here. Lots of better Rye IPA’s out there. Two Brothers Cane and Abel as well as Founders Red Rye P.A. are far superior. It’s bitter without a great flavor profile to back it up. Seems out of balance. Smells like a bitter IPA with some caramel thrown in. The rye is underwhelming. Pours a off orange with a medium white head. Some lacing. Got more bitter with each sip and as it warmed without releasing any complex flavors like I’ve experienced in other Rye IPA’s. It came in a variety pack, so at least I wasn’t saddled with more than two of them.

Had this on tap in Boston MA while coming back from Germany. Really great hop aroma and a nice bitter flavor. Great beer and bought a glass!!

The rye dominates a bit and gives this a bit too strong of a spice flavor. Herbal aromas are drowned out quickly as the flavor comes in. The finish is pretty quick and spice again. Interested to try this but probalby won’t be picking up more.

Amber pour with a thin white head. Aroma of hops and caramel. Light body but a lot of flavor. A nice hope profile which fades to a sweet finish.

Strawberry preserves, citrus fruit, and mild cereal aromas. Clear copper with a faint, off-white head. Dry, fruity, with a well balanced malt backbone, and good bitterness. Light-medium bodied, spicy, well carbonated, and finishes with hop bitterness and subtle notes of black pepper.

Nice hoppy spice and fruity almost jam scent. Thin white head and light amber body. Dry hoppy slight spice and rye flavors. Crisp smooth but a lityle thin on the palate.

Hazy orange with a white head. Aroma is heavy on the citrus and rye with some biscuit malt. Flavor is rye, oranges, pine, toffee and a low amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

As I try to keep Massachusetts in my top 3 states. Pint at Tyler’s Apex. ok aroma, sweet. Caramel, cereal. orange. Clean brownish orange color. Good initial head. faded quick to a ring. Bitter sweet flavor. Medium body, smooth oily creamy mouthfeel. Bitter finish. Pretty good, flavor is best part. Good, not gonna wow you but tasty. Worth a try.

Nice spicy rye aroma, with a touch of hops. Pours a clear amber with a thin white head. The bite of rye works well with the hops selected, leaving a lingering bitter finish. This is a nice solid Rye IPA, and I’ll be looking to see if I can get more of it.

Faint aroma of fresh hops. Medium bodyfeel with upfront bite of carbonation - smooth to drink with a ton of lingering hops. The eye adds a bit of earthiness and smoothness to an otherwise great IPA. Good sipper. Tasty

Aroma: Smelling of lemon, pine resin and sticky spices.
Appearance: A clear amber colored beer. A off-white head with good lacing and good curtains.
Taste: Tasting bread, pepper, pine and peel.
Palate: Medium low carbonation, a oily texture. A good body with a good dry finish.
Overall: Very fresh, much rye.
