We worked with our friends at Equal Exchange to brew this English style Porter. Specialty malts provide caramel and dark chocolate notes and a sweet, smooth body, while coffee beans grown in the Mexican El Triunfo biosphere yield roasted, bittersweet notes that compliment the malty sweetness. The result is a balanced beer that showcases the flavors and aromas of both beer and coffee - a fitting equal exchange.

Aroma of pure coffee. Pours deep brown with a nice blanket of tan head. Taste is smooth roasty coffee. A little coffee dominant but a perfect neutral mouthfeel to back it up. Great cup of Joe.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted dark coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a thick smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted dark coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. Good complex brew.

Pint at Tylers Apex. Good aroma, sweet. Chocolate, coffee, little brown sugar. Dark, orangy brown color, small head spotty lace. Bittersweet flavor. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, Bittersweet finish. Good, not gonna wow you, but solid in all areas.

Pours a dark black brown color with a small mocha head. Nose is straight no chaser dark fresh espresso coffee. Taste is pure coffee, with heavy chocolate notes, perhaps a bit too light. But nevertheless finishes on the coffee notes, drinks quite easily and quickly secondary to the low ABV. Nice with a pardron. Quaff Score 8 / 10

Pours a dark brown with a tan head and great coffee filled aroma. Taste is all coffee as well, sweet with some roasted malt and a toasty finish. Very drinkable, light coffee brew, delicious

This poured a medium brown color with a biege head. Aroma was of strong burnt coffee, light latte, chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor was lots of coffee as well, a little thin and watery but great roast flavor with a hint of chocolate.

Bottle from giant eagle. Pours mahogany with mild finger width head. Settles nicely. Nose of a muted espresso and very smooth mouthfeel. Strong espresso and mocha fullness. Malty flavors here too but not really any floral components like the bottle says. True coffee porter - seems more coffee than porter but went great with BBQ bacon pizza. ---Rated via my mouth

22oz bottle, recent release. Served at around 55F.

Pours dark brown with red highlights and a two finger tan head that holds a small, but good cap and leaves nice sheets of lacing behind.

Aroma is coffee, caramel, toffee, hints of chocolate, roasted malts, nutty, touch of vanilla. The coffee is pretty nice, definitely the strong suit here. Good strength.

Flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasted malts, caramel, toffee, a bit astringent, mild sweetness, mild bitterness, mild alcohol. Good Porter, but not as robust as others on the market these days.

Mouthfeel is medium-plus bodied, creamy, soft carbonation.

Pretty good coffee Porter. I’m a little spoiled here lately with some of the bigger coffee Stouts such as WnB & FBS, but this one is nice for something a little lighter in body and lower in alcohol, but with a good coffee aroma and flavor.
