3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Large light brown head of fine bubbles. At least 2 inches thick. Strong coffee and dark chocolate aroma with a bit of ash and more coffee! Color is a very dark brown bordering on black. Wow, massive coffee up front that lingers for the duration but diminishes as you go along. Body is a bit thin but still full flavored. Dark roasted malts, burnt toast and a bit of bitterness late swallow. No real alcohol presence. This is basically coffee with a bit of alcohol. Not my cup of tea if you know what I mean. Ha ha! A good brew if you like coffee. Too much coffee for my tastes though.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22 ounce bottle, stamp on bottle says enjoy by 03/15/13. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours dark brown with an inch tan head. Head retention is good, and thereís a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, chocolate, roasted malt, and vanilla. The taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes like coffee, chocolate, roasted malt and some caramel and dark fruit. Nice balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy and has moderate carbonation. I think itís a good overall brew, and definitely worth trying at $5.99 a bomber. Recommended if you like coffee beers.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black with a thin tan head. Aroma is a big whiff of black coffee with maybe a slight hint of chocolate. Flavor is almost like an iced mocha or coffee ice cream. Tasty, especially if you like big coffee flavor with a sweet aftertaste. Body isnít bad, maybe a touch thin. Pretty solid, could be a bit over balanced on the coffee end, but that should be expected with the name. Otherwise, I could really only complain about it being a bit one note, but itís not a bad note at all.

They are not lying about the coffee in this one. Looks like coffee with a tan head. Big coffee aroma and taste, along with some chocolate. Nice bittersweet balance.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 ounce bottle - $5.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: A medium-small, tan head sits atop a black body. Near nil lacing.
Smell: Features a sublime scent of whole roasted coffee beans. Many stouts and porters can give off a roasty, coffee-esque scent, itís true. Even many coffee-infused beers donít seem particularly emboldened beyond the base malts. In this, however, the added ingredient is undoubted. Also, quality chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and a faint, faint fruitiness.
Taste: Thereís a great bittersweet coffee bean flavor upfront accented by roasted malts, chocolate, caramel and burnt sugars. Very light touch of licorice. Low dark fruitiness. Bitterness from the hops, but also some imparted by the roasted malt and coffee beans. Plenty of coffee flavor on the finish and in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation. Smooth, yet also a bit crisp.
Overall: A tantalizing and energizing beer. Iíve had a few coffee-based beers lately and this has been the best of the bunch.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2012 Poured thinner than expected with a small light brown head that diminished into nothing. Dark brown body. Decent coffe aroma and taste, left with a burnt coffee bitterness, not necessarily the pleasant kind. Weaker than expected mouthfeel with a bit of fizzy carbonation.
