3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a cloudy straw color with a fast-dissipating head. A lot of fruit on the aroma - apple, citrus, and some notes that I can’t quite put my finger on. A lot of yeast too. The flavor is similar, with a lot more yeast. A bit bready on the finish. Quite nice.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Candy, citrus, and Belgian yeast in the aroma. Flavor starts sweet and spicy, then finishes with fruity bitterness and some black pepper spice. This is a fine saison, true to the style but a little different.

Huge bright white head of varying sized bubbles with very good carbonation. Light citrusy aroma with some straw, spicy hops, cereal grains and lemon. Color is a clear bright golod. Flavor is light and crisp with more citrus flavors, lemon, dried grass and herbals hops. Very earthy and dry like a saison should be. Light alcohol presence. Dry and almost chalky palate at the finish with a lingering bitterness and dryness. A decent saison.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
From the 22 fl. oz. bottle. The pour is golden to pale yellow with a quick burst of fizzy white head thanks to active carbonation, and then it simmers down. The aroma is a pleasing collection of Belgian yeast, grass, toasted biscuit malt, and pepper. The aroma never lets up once. Medium body. The taste brings out the peppery sensations even more along with an orange zing and a lingering, dry finish. Nicely done Harpoon.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cloudy golden pour huge head. Aroma of grapes german hops. delicate floral bready. Tastes spicy grain bitter belgiany yeast. Tastes more like a general belgian ale that’s been hopped up. not dry enough for a saison. Seems intense and out of balance for a blend. Americanized and convoluted. I wish they had stuck to having just one creative vision on this one. Still tasty and different though.
