COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

Pours orange with a fully receding white head. Aroma of toffee, light caramel. Taste is sticky, sweet, candied malts, and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, slightly sticky with lush carbonation. Simple and one dimensional

golden color...lighter than I expected...white foamy head...hops and citrus aroma....easy drinking and refreshing...not a big IPA, but OK...gonna use this one to start some friends on the IPA experiance

Tasted like a watered down ale to me. Hops and malt balance was nice, but like I said, a little too watered down.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber body with decent head. Aroma is of sweet malt, papaya, slight citrus. Flavor is sweet with a small malty backbone. Very smooth with a slight fruity taste to it that is balanced well. Rather impressed that this came from Harpoon. Worth the dollar I paid for it.

Decent sized bright white head of fine bubbles. Light carbonation. Soft malty aroma with a bit of vegetal (creamed corn) and some bready malts. Color is a medium golden orange. Flavor is light and malty with more bready notes. Some crisp hops presence but generally mild overall. Some grassy notes as well. Not sure if I would classify this as an amber ale. More of a vienna style. Finishes hopy and a little bitter. Decent but not something I would seek out.

A little watery for my tastes, but better than any macro out there. Balanced hops and malts, somewhat buttery in flavor.

Bottle. Pours golden with a moderate white lingering head. Aroma is dominated by fruity yeast, slightly sweet with a bit of malt. Flavor is the same fruity yeast note, with a bit of caramel malt and slight hops in the finish. This is actually reasonably interesting for the class of beers it falls in, in my opinion.

The aroma is a standard lager aroma, slight hints of fruit in it. Pours a clear amber with a quickly fading white head. Nothing really special about this beer, just a decent drinkable ale.
