2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 BrendanC (33) - Rochester, New York, USA - FEB 22, 2007
Pours a reddish gold color, little head. Floral aroma with some caramel. Each sip has a bit of tongue bite. The taste is dominated at first by fruit flavors, cherry and apple, then moves on to an odd buttery aftertaste. I think it’s best to pour this one in a glass, enjoy the look of the beer, but let someone else drink it.

Light amber color. Sweet aroma, hints of caramel. No hops. Malt flavor with some bitterness to balance it out. Smooth finish. Easy drinking, pretty tasty but nothing to write home about.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Botolph (16) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JAN 20, 2007
While this is not my favorite from Harpoon, I find it a very drinkable beer when having more than one.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2008 I enjoyed this well balanced beer. Nothing in the taste really stands out but the beer was on the sweet side.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 jredmond (2471) - Manhattan, New York, USA - JAN 7, 2007
A friend bought a Harpoon variety pack and this was the first one I tried. I believe this was my first amber ale as well. Poured a clear amber body with a small head. The aroma was sweet, the taste was sweet with some hops.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Tessic (611) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 29, 2006
This ale pours a dark yellow colour with a off white foamy head. Orange, lemon and pineapple citrus to the nose. First sip was delicious with flavours of light hops and light citrus. Finish is mild and the palate is very slightly bitter with a slight hop linger.

Very carbonated, almost to a faut. Almost tastes like a Harpoon IPA light, still has a hint of hops. White head, smooth finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20 mansquito (1604) - washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 12, 2006
This is the less alcoholic and less hoppy cousin of the more prevelent Harpoon India Pale Ale. Actually, I prefer this beer to that one. This medium bodied beer goes down smoother and in my humble opinion tastes a little bit better than its close kin. Average and nothing too special, but definately good.
