1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20 Bangbang (4) - USA - MAR 22, 2005 does not count
Clear amber with a large frothy white head quckly and fully diminishing. Light malt aroma with a light fruity taste. Watery texture. Average for its style. Nothing very exciting or bold about this beer.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 tmad (93) - Dayton, Ohio, USA - MAR 18, 2005
Clear amber, big white head, somewhat fruity aroma, with a hint of floral. Mildly malty, actually weak maltiness, not much body. a weak hop finish, clean but watery. This beer is nothing to brag about, disappointed.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 mike mcneil (660) - St Augustine, Florida, USA - FEB 18, 2005
Clear amber pour under a thin white head. Faint musty fruit aroma with a touch of flowery hops in background. Initial flavors of toffee and caramel with some weak maltiness. Mouthfeel is a bit thin and watery. Some very mild hop bitterness emerges in the finish , but fades quickly. Overall a clean ale, just a bit thin and forgetable.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 DarkElf (2938) - La Jolla, California, USA - JAN 7, 2005
UPDATED: JAN 8, 2005 (12 oz bottle, obtained in trade with shadey, thanks Shane!) There’s not much to this one. Let’s call it a very lightly flavored amber ale, mildly caramely and malty, a bit sweet in a sugary way, minimally bitter. Geez, the flavor is just so... so... so... flavorless. Not much body, it’s pretty watery. The nose is lightly malty and sweet, with no hops aroma. Light amber in color, fully clear in appearance. Off-white head pours an average size and recedes to a sheen within minutes. Despite that, there’s a fair amount of patchy lacing on the glass. You know, I think they should rename this Harpoon Light. Wait, they already have a Harpoon Light. Yikes, I can’t imagine what that "tastes" like if this isn’t their Light beer. Don’t blame Shane for sending this to me, I *asked* him to send it.

Has a good front taste with berry and raisin flavors, but the finish is very weak. Fix that and this would be a very good amber ale.

Bottled. Nice appearance with the fairly large head as it poured. Mildly hoppy, but nothing to write home about. Decent ale.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - DEC 28, 2004
Poured out of the bottle a glowing transparent copper with a thin white head. Floral hops stand out in the aroma, a bit sweet and fruity. Taste starts with a fruity malt up front, light sweetness, and a nice clean hop finish. The thing that really bothered me about this brew was the big metallic finish on it.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 ambroze (21) - Old Hickory, Tennessee, USA - DEC 9, 2004
Pretty good beer. Very nornal tasting. This is an average beer. On a scale from 1 -10 it’s a good solid 7.
