COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

Fruity and balanced aroma and taste keep this average amber ale from becoming ordinary. Let this one warm up a bit and the balance between hop and malt becomes more evident

Poured light amber, clear, large head, fruity aroma. Malt background but hops bitterness prevails.

Poured a decent head. with hops in the aroma I was thinking this was going to be overly hoppy. I was surprised that it at first tasted of sweet malts, had a smooth mouthfeel with the slightest hop bite at the end. Thanks JB

Very good drinking beer. That is to say, very good when you want to throw several down among good friends. Very tasty, with good aroma and head retention. Nice deep color.

Fruity, sour, peachy aroma. Velvety mouthfeel, bit of tang in there, some hoppy feel and a dry finish. Appearance is filtered dark yellow. Serviceable.

Strong presence of alcohol. Caramel malt aroma and a slight hop aroma. Hops are not as present as they could be in the flavor. The flavor I notice most is the caramel malt flavor. Caramel brown color. A pretty boring beer. I have not been impressed with this company’s beer. The beer is a little thin. I think this beer is okay, but there is reallly nothing special about this one.

butterscotch aroma, slightly sweet with a small bitter after-taste, their original and still good

Mediocracy at its best, not much to say about this, suitable for everday, but certainly not one to brag about.
