2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copper colored with a thin head. Malty aroma with toffee and peanut brittle in the nose. Malty palate that is rather thin and watery. No trace of hops.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is suprisingly hoppy. Flavor is more hops than you would expect from a brown ale. Some sweet malt also but not much. Not a great brown but drinkable.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Very drinkable, but not alot of flavor. I understand the role of a session ale, but really could have used some more flavor and complexity overall. Like a waterier Newcastle.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Starts off looking strikingly light and transparent for a brown ale. Aroma very mild, weakly malty. Flavor has a fleeting hint of nuttiness and caramel hidden down in there, but the theme again is blandness, and not even just boring, ok blandness, more of a -wheres my beer- blandness. Not surprisingly, watery bodied. Pretty poor effort.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
A - Poured a crystal clear light brown/amber color with a touch of ruby. A little lighter than I would expect. Nice carbontation, little to no head. First thing I thought of when I looked at this beer in my glass..."looks thin."
S - Not a very aromatic beer. Smells that are present are of sweet malts and fruit.
T - Not a lot of flavor here and certainly nothing complex. I guess "session" can be defined as simplistic as this is just a bland beer. Not a lot going on. Faint flavors of sweet malts but it’s just very watery/thin. Certainly nothing offensive exists, but certainly nothing noteworthy either. More flavors are present as reaches cellar temps but this beer needs to be kicked up a notch.
M - Very thin/watery.
D - Scores high here b/c it is very drinkable. I actually feel as though a craft beer newbie could be given this as a sort of transition/gateway beer. Not a bad beer, just not a good one.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
UPDATED: AUG 11, 2009 The aroma is like a brown but weaker, it has caramel, toasted malt, dust, caramel, and chocolate. The appearance is light brown with an average head at best. The palate is thin. Overall it’s disappointing and could qualify as a brown light.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle: Brown pour with an off white film for head. The aroma is sweet, with a bit of caramel and brown sugar. Pretty boring though. Light mouth feel, with a restrained malt character. Sweet with a cheap caramel malt flavor and a bit of a metallic hint. Kind of lacks character.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
poured a mild brown hue with a tan head that had good retention. Aroma was of mild malt notes mainly a nutty profile. Flavor was of a nutty malt notes. It seemed very thin and all though easy to drink was over disappointing.

Amber color; creamy head. An Ale with some caramel, incredibly watered down. Useless.
