3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours deep red black, quick khaki head, little lacing or retention. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted coffee. Taste is generally sweet, only slight coffee like bitterness. Medium bodied, light carbonation, mouth feel is slightly watery. Finishes sweet with notes of dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla and brown sugar. Easy drinking stout. Not bad.

Milk chocolate aroma. Appearance is jet black with a tan head with below average retention. Flavor is full of smooth, creamy chocolate. Hop bitterness is moderate. Mouthfeel is medium light with medium carbonation. Overall, it's a good tasting, smooth chocolate beer. A little thin though.

Very good stout. Easy to drink with the right amount of silky chocolate notes throughout. Dark black pour without much of a head. Easy drinking stout despite the 5.9.

Thin layers of light chocolate , very little coffee but there,
Seems like a lite version of moo hoo
Very lite that is,
But pretty drinkable,
Some bitter roasted chalkiness on the end

You get a good cocoa aroma once the bottle is open. This stout has a sweet dark chocolate and coffee flavor. A good dessert beer with brownies or chocolate cake. This really hit the spot. I would definitely recommend this.

3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
The smell is chocolate and coffee, and the appearance is dark and wonderful. The taste is just too overwhelmingly chocolaty, slight coffee, and too unrefined. The mouth feel is slightly watery. I’ll definitely NOT be getting this stout again. And I had such high hopes.

Bottle. Pours black with a thin tan head. Big chocolate aroma with vanilla and light coffee. Flavor of roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, notes of coffee and had a touch of vanilla with a dry roasty finish.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color, bordering on black, with a two finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a moderate level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is quite heavy of a roasted malt smell with a good deal of a milk chocolate smell. Adding to the darker aromas are some aromas of coffee. There are big aromas of a caramel, vanilla, and a cream smell there as well, which overall create a very sweet, milk chocolaty smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet milk chocolate and caramel flavor with a moderate amount of a roasted flavor. These flavors create a base for the brew remaining relatively constant throughout the taste with the caramel fading ever so slightly but being replaced by a little bit of vanilla sweetness. All while these transitions occur, so too do some more bitter coffee and earthy flavors come to the tongue. With the roast intensifying ever so slightly, and a bit of a grainy flavor coming to the tongue, one is left with a somewhat surprisingly drier, but still robustly darker chocolate flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side with a carbonation level that is on the average side as well. A bit of a thicker body and a lower carbonation level may have been slightly more fitting for the style, fitting the darker chocolate and more surprisingly drier roasted flavors of the brew more nicely.
Overall – A decent chocolate brew that was surprisingly dry in light of its aroma. Nothing too exceptional, but a nice try and a decent choice (in light of its price) for a darker and more drinkable chocolate stout.
