Draught @ Bingas Wingas 08’.
Light almost clear yellow with no head. Super sweet and dry. Light sour apples again super dry and tart. Boring cider really all around. Bare bones bad. Best paired with cheetos and stale chips.

On tap at the brewery. Pale yellow, big bubbles, rapidly dying head. Big buttery aroma and lots of diacetyl. This tastes like a bag of microwave popcorn flavoring. Yuck!

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
The aroma is promising with sweet yet tart apples and plastic. The appearance is pale gol dbut almost clear with no head. The flavor is bitter, sour and tonic water like. The palate is like water. This was really un-enjoyable.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A very weak and boring cider. Aroma was decent. Green apple with a hint of spoiledness. Pour was a flat near clear with no head and no bubbles.Taste was like rotten brown apple with some dust and no carbonation. Blah.

1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 5/20
Not much to the aroma... slight apple scent. Very light golden color with little to no head. Flavor reminds me of watered down apple cider with an alcohol kick. Not very impressive.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft at the Great Lost Bear in Portland - Poured a light golden amber in color with no head or carbonation. Aroma was medium of apples and grape. Flavor is surprisingly mild/weak. Somewhat watery... almost diluted. Harpoon makes fairly good beer, but this cider is just not a good effort from them. Disappointing...

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours very light golden greenish with no head. Aroma is apple, pear, white grape. Tastes like good apple cider from a afarm diluted and mixed with stale cardboard and plastic. This one is one of the few ciders I’ve had that got worse as ti warmed, showing its true colors as a mass market abomination that cause me to drain pour the last few ounces. I harbor no ill will toward Harpoon, but they need to stay out of the cider market and continue making mediocre beers.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2008 Just how I like cider, no preservatives what so ever, pure and simple, plain old apples is the only ingredient. Aroma of crayons and the color of the ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. A little tart on the palate. Impressions of alky yet seems watered down like gramma used to do with the dago red wine. Enjoyable none the less. Has a background note of crazy hops or malt bitterness, perhaps it is the bitterness of the apple peels. I think this to be a cider that will appeal to many beer lovers who like pilsners. Finish is interesting for a cider, a mild bitter linger.
