In 1986 Harpoon co-founders Rich Doyle and Dan Kenary began brewing Harpoon in Boston to share with others the joy of making—and drinking—great beer. In 2000, we added a second brewery in Windsor, Vermont to keep up with the demand. As a regional craft brewer, we gained interest and respect for cider, a drink with strong roots and history in New England. Harpoon’s cider is our contribution to the long heritage of cider made with fresh juice from locally grown apples.

Harpoon Cider is made from a blend of locally grown apples including the New England favorite, McIntosh. By fermenting this blend of varieties with our own yeast we are able to produce an aroma that has a clean, fruity character. This crisp, refreshing cider has just the right balance of ripe apple sweetness and tartness from the fruit’s natural acidity. The color of this smooth tasting cider is very light as a result of using only freshly pressed apples. Without the addition of preservatives, artificial colors, or sweeteners we have created a cider that is fresh, pure, and delicious. Enjoy!

Bottle. Clear pale yellow color. Aroma of apple juice. Flavor of apple juice. Not much else. It was tasty and no vinegar edge, so that is a plus. Its hard apple juice basically. It is what it is.

12 oz bottle. Pours pale straw with white head and nice bubbles. Aroma is of ripe, sweet apples. Body is medium, bitter-sweet. Taste is of baked sweet apples and some apple seeds. Finish is long, bittersweet. Nice cider.

Not bad - crisp and just a bit sweet. Nicely balanced but certainly very apple driven.

Apple, oak, roasted aroma. Yellow pour with minimal head. Taste isn’t particularly great, a bit bland/boring. Feels almost watered down, with the tartness remaining. Light body, average finish.

Bottle from backlog notes. Pours a clear yellow golden color with no head. The aroma and flavor have the typical apple, mild tart, some skins, basic, bland cider.

Pours clear yellow, a touch of head. Aroma smells like real apples, fruuty, flowery. Taste is more candied, sweet, still some tartness. Fairly carbonated.

A very sweet cider, not terribly crisp. Pours a light straw from the tap, not much going on here.

Sehr hell. Im Geruch unauffällig mit Kanal. Im Geschmack dann aber restsüß ohne Schwefel. Sehr Lecker, kaum alkoholisch.

Geruch nach Apfel und Limonade. Im Geschmack sehr gut ausbalanciert zwischen süß und säuerlich. Leckerer Apfelgeschmack.

Bottle - not sure of age. Sweet and sour is the theme here. Otherwise very simple cider. Don’t cate for the feel. So so at best.
