cheapdark (1532), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 26, 2008 Updated: Jul 11, 2008 Just how I like cider, no preservatives what so ever, pure and simple, plain old apples is the only ingredient. Aroma of crayons and the color of the ubiquitous pale yellow american lager. A little tart on the palate. Impressions of alky yet seems watered down like gramma used to do with the dago red wine. Enjoyable none the less. Has a background note of crazy hops or malt bitterness, perhaps it is the bitterness of the apple peels. I think this to be a cider that will appeal to many beer lovers who like pilsners. Finish is interesting for a cider, a mild bitter linger.
jason (1473), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy brown body. Aroma is sweet apples and sugar. Flavor is very sweet and sugary. Almost too sugary as it overpowers most of the apple taste. unclemattie (1521), Georgia, USA Jul 13, 2008 12oz bottle. pours clear light yellow, like pear juice. Aroma contains butter and cranberries. Flavor is of a soft, creamy blue cheese witgh some apple juice in the finish. Not the best cider, still very good. Holdwine (816), Beertimore, Maryland, USA Jul 10, 2008 On draft at Windsor brewery. Not much flavor, very weak. Just a glimpse of tart apple. Flavor profile was going in the right direction, just way short of the mark. Imaena (175), Portland, Maine, USA Jun 28, 2008 Draught @ Bingas Wingas 08’.
Light almost clear yellow with no head. Super sweet and dry. Light sour apples again super dry and tart. Boring cider really all around. Bare bones bad. Best paired with cheetos and stale chips. Sledge Jr (2702), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Jun 24, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Pale yellow, big bubbles, rapidly dying head. Big buttery aroma and lots of diacetyl. This tastes like a bag of microwave popcorn flavoring. Yuck!
