COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed using locally-grown cranberries, this beer captures the spirit of a true New England Thanksgiving: the harvest celebration and the sharing of food amongst friends. Fermented with a traditional ale yeast that lets the cranberries provide the signature aroma, this beer is balanced by the ‘bready’ notes of the Vienna and Munich malts.

Very light aroma, can tell it’s cranberry, pours a deep clear amber with a frothy head. Taste is an initial sweetness, finishes somewhat bitter. Has a light body, thin texture, fizzy carbonation on the tongue, finishes with a bitter aftertaste. Overall an ok beer. Not amazing, but a nice change of pace for the Thanksgiving season. Would probably split a six pack with a friend in the future.

12 ounce bottle. Pours a deep copper color topped by a fluffy beige head. Aroma of toasted malt and sour fruit. Upfront, flavor is toasted malt and bitter fruit. Definately tastes of fresh cranberries, which are tart and bitter. Overall, a rather unusual paring of malt, hops and cranberries.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a moderate white head. Definite fruit and cranberry notes in the nose. Taste is a tad sour, and not a taste I particularly care for.

Aroma of heavy yeast, cherry, cranberry, and caramel. Pours heady and red. Taste is dry and very yeasty with subtle cranberry. A little too much bread and not enough taste.

Poured a clear amber with a frothy white head. Aroma is cranberry, caramel, grass, and citrus. Taste is almost like a Marzen with a touch of cranberry.

Bottle. Medium garnet amber with a small sticky white head. Nose is lemon dish soap, strawberry jolley rancher, nice cranberry. Mildly bitter, mild sweetness, a bit of cereal/grain, and fruity tannins. A bit watery and boring but certainly better than expected. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle picked up at Arlington Whole Foods and drank in TN. Middle of the roda fruit beer. You get a little tartness from the berries but they’re muted overall. Fine.

halfonit (1156) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Pours a clear ruby/amber color. Aroma is of malts and hops with a very slight cranberry and brown sugar scent. Light and carbonated palate but it does have a nicer body than expected. Flavors that come through are malts, hops, cranberry, and black cherry. Leaves a dry, dirty malt finish. Nothing special. What ever happened to Sam Adams? Too bad nobody knows that 80% of their beers are made in OHIO.
