3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 ksosh (6) - California, USA - NOV 24, 2012Very light aroma, can tell it’s cranberry, pours a deep clear amber with a frothy head. Taste is an initial sweetness, finishes somewhat bitter. Has a light body, thin texture, fizzy carbonation on the tongue, finishes with a bitter aftertaste. Overall an ok beer. Not amazing, but a nice change of pace for the Thanksgiving season. Would probably split a six pack with a friend in the future.

12oz bottle - pours medium/deep amber with tan head. Nose is berry. Flavor adds cranberry and some sort of malt base. Sour/tart. Tried it because I’m a sucker for fruity beers, but this reminds me of unripe berries. Interesting but will not revisit.

Effervescent jewel like deep amber color with a lasting off white head. Sweet tart candy nose. White sugar sweetness with cranberry sauce flavors over raw grain astringency. Some English muffin notes and some bitterness in the finish. Odd beer.

Bottle. Pours darker golden color medium tan head. Aroma of bread, caramel, and berries. Medium sweet taste. Medium-thin body, oily texture, tart and mild bitter finish. Not a big fan of this one.

From notes: Poured clear reddish-amber with a 1-finger bone-colored head. Biscuity aroma mixed with caramel and a touch of cranberry. Medium body with a touch of dryness in the finish. The flavor matches the aroma: biscuity and caramelly, with some cranberry underneath.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 beerandbeyond (452) - ISRAEL - JAN 31, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler glass.
Clear light brown and tea-like color with a small off white head.
Fruity nose (grapes, plums, some berries) with caramel and floral hops.
Sweet malt flavors, juicy caramel, some tart fruit, grape juice, mellow nuttiness and low bitterness.
Medium bodied, kinda easy to drink and quite satisfying. Cool.

Thanks, Abbie! Might have gone better on Turkey Day, but even a late tick is a tick. Reddish brown pour, lively carbonation that fades in time. Nose of dried fruit past consumability, along with mild fruitbread. Thin body accentuates the starkness of the flavors. Usually it’s a good thing when a beer like this avoids being excessively sweet; but here the dry, dusky personality just adds up to suck.

Cranberries evident in the fruity flavor and aroma, as well as in the not-so-subtle tartness. The flavor more clearly reflects cranberry than does the more vaguely fruity aroma. The beer has a complementary reddish tint in the otherwise deep amber, clear ale. Some hop bitterness is apparent. Crisp, slightly astringent feel with near medium body and medium carbonation. My favorite aspect is the rather marked transition from sweet to tart and, with different timing, from tart fruit flavor to a more balanced and malty aftertaste: well crafted, but there may be only so far one can go with a cranberry ale.

From a bottle poured a brown color with a small amount of head. Light malty flavor with a hint of cranberry.
