3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Thanks to TNT for picking this one up. Tasted on Thanksgiving and served in a sampler glass. Pours an auburn color. Nose has a nice cranberry tartness and backing malt. Flavor falls through with too much breadiness. Over the top malt with cranberry falling to the background. Nose was by far the best part of this one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle . Pours a dark brown color rather then a ruby red and pink. Very fruity and beer like with a tart aftertaste . Good for the point but not my favorite

Transfer from BA review on 11-7-13-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep amber color with a hint of red seen shining through the clear body. Upon pouring there is a small fizzy white head that fades almost instantly to leave just a hint of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell –The aroma is heaviest of a sweet caramel as well as some hints of toasted grain. Rounding out the aroma is the tart cranberry smell that one might expect, along with some lighter hints of a floral and grassy nature
Taste -The taste begins with a sweeter and toasted bready flavor. The sweet upfront is a mix of sugar sweetened cranberry as well as a bit of caramel. As the taste advances it remains relatively on the sweeter side, but also takes on some tart tastes as well as a light grassy taste. As the taste moves on to the end, the cranberry gets rather potent producing a somewhat chalky and tart cranberry flavor to be produced, which knocks down the sweetness and the roast a bit. With a light earthy flavor coming to the tongue at the very end, the combination of flavors leaves a slightly chalky, tart, but lightly sweetened cranberry and toasted malt flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is on the average side with a carbonation level that is rather average as well. More carbonation and a thinner body may have been slightly more refreshing in light of the cranberry flavors of the brew, but all in all, the feel was still alright.
Overall – Not bad, but really not that great either. The cranberry and grain tastes are good, but It has a sort of sweet yet tart and chalky taste that really don’t meld well together. Worth a try, but nothing more.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The body has a reddish copper color with good clarity and a quick fading light off white head. Lacing is minimal and slick. The aroma has light scent with a mix of sweet/tart malts and cranberry. The flavor reflects the scent with a light to medium bodied malt sweetness with notes of caramel, sweet bread and pie crust. This is offset by light cranberry tartness and faint hop bitterness. Carbonation is light and the palate is a little sticky.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance had an auburn colored body with a small white half finger head that lasts throughout most of the beer, faded, spotty lacing.
The smell had cranberry, and there was some allspice in the background.
The taste was sweet, yet tart through the cherries, allspice is more subdued, light hops.
The palate sat about a light to medium, sessionable, sweet dry aftertaste and finish.
Overall, this is good for its style and I would have this again if I could get it again.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a clear dark chestnut color. The head stands one finger high, with an offwhite shade. It’s quick to fade, however, and has a slightly ragged texture. It tries to leave some lacing behind on the glass, but not a lot by any means. Still, attractive due to the body’s vibrant color.
S: This is weird...and worrying. I pick up (slight) cranberry and some sweet caramel primarily. The fruit notes, however, don’t seem fully integrated within the rest of the brew - and even worse, come off a bit artificially. Luckily, they’re hidden beneath the malt backbone enough.
T: Caramel hits the palate first, while the cranberry flavors...uh oh, dat artificial finish. There’s a slight adjunct note in the middle; this is actually my favorite feature. Like I said before, the finish is both chemical and perfume-y, which kills it. Still, I’m glad it’s kind of bland instead of bold, actually: that means I can put this down easily instead of want to pitch it.
M: Sweet, in a wholly undefined and generic matter. The thick feel just loafs around on the palate, while the decent carbonation fails to scrub the tongue sufficiently.
O: Not a car crash of a beer, just really damn dull. To be fair, it’s not a car crash BECAUSE it’s so dull. Proof positive that fantastic intentions alone does not a good beer make.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
$1.75 Bottle, Wine Warehouse, CHO.
Pours brownish red with a tiny dusting of a head. Smells of cheap lager, cranberry, grape... almost a champagne smell. Tastes of heavy cranberry, almost candied, but not sweet. Finishes with a strong cheap lager taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Moderate head that leaves some slippery lace. Dark amber/light brown color. Clear.
Dark amber malt aroma with a touch of sour berry. A light honey sweet overlay to the smell.
Dry malt flavor with a surprising level of hop in the finish. The cranberries are nearly imperceptible; shows up best in the swallow. Dry, short-lived finish. Creamy body with a lower carbonation. Overall, it’s a decent offering but resembles a dry amber ale more than anything else.
