FatTony (107), Augusta, Georgia, USA Mar 29, 2008 12 ounce bottle- pours a perfect dark amber, clear with a strong wheat colored head. Aroma is complex-has a hint of banana (yeah, really). Creamy mouth feel with just a little bite. Slightly bitter taste with a nice finish. Average, or a little better.
beerbill (1243), Laurel, New York, USA Aug 14, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours a clear red with a moderate-large off-white head that completely disappeared before I had finished a quarter of the glass. Weak aroma of malt and a touch of brown sugar. The flavor is malt along with just a bit of unsweetened iced tea. Mild bitterness at the finish. A tad thin, but not watery. blankboy (2563), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 12, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear orange-amber with an average size diminishing off-white head. Mild aroma of caramel malt, sugary sweetness, fruit, grain and maybe some hops. Meh. Flavour’s pretty much the same with caramel malt, grain and fruit -- pretty watery, maybe some hops in the finish. Light bodied. Pretty boring stuff -- not for me. nick76 (2020), Tampa, Florida, USA Jun 22, 2008 The aroma is papery with caramel malts, toasted bread, yeast, and light hops. The appearance is red brow with a decent looking head. The flavor is like the aroma with a malty-toasty finish. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall not that great but easy to drink. wcampbell (411), Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 21, 2008 Pretty drinkable. Good flavor, but not much to it. Simple malt flavoring with some light bitterness. Brief, lightly bitter finish. Some crisp pilsener taste shows up as well. Slightly watery. rick10485 (53), oneonta, New York, USA Jun 1, 2008 Highly carbonated for a Irish Red. I would of liked a heavier head and stronger malt flavor. It really held more of a american ale flavor than a Irish red. Not too bad to drink, but dont buy it if you are looking for a classic Irish Red.
