3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2004 Has almost a smokey flavor, which is also brought out by its hazy aroma. Small bitter bite, generally nice to sip. Kind of a medium-dark roasted color. Note from June 2004: After having my friend Robin from England sample this in New York, he says "this beer tastes like the beers back home". High praise, from him.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slim yellowish head on clear orange beer. Grapey, flowery hops in the nose. Over-powerful hops, but not overly bitter; flowery, very English-character hops. Convincing for an I.P.A.. This is in fact a super-English BB, which is probably what a real India P.A. used to be. Lemon and asparagus flavours. Medium-bodied. Not very filled by malt. Obviously, I like this. Ideomatic for the style.

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Smells like oranges which matches the color. It tastes sweet up front with a nice hoppy finish. This was far from being my favorite IPA, however it was good for the price.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Orangey gold, rotten fruit and flowers aroma. Grapefruit and pine hop flavor, some malt, but mostly hops all the way through.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Hazy golden with a small white head. Fresh, juicy hop aroma with little malt underneath. The body is fairly thin and totatly unexciting. The flavor is not exciting at all. I expected tons of hop character based on the nose, however all I encountered was a bland, boring beer. The bountiful hop nose produced a non-existent hop flavor atop thin, bland malts. At best, this is a mediocre IPA.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft: Pours a clear golden with a puffy thick white head. Nice fresh and bold hoppy aroma. Starts sweet and floral, but finishes more dry and grainy, similar to a macro lager. Could use some more finesse and balance.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2006 Pale clear golden color with off white head that crowned to about two inches tall. Floral hop aroma is gentle yet strong. Delicate pine resin hoppyness with an assertive spicy bitterness. Hints of butterscotch and grapefruit on the palette back the hops up nicely. Medium to thin creamy body. Very drinkable. Don’t worry about what you might have read about this beer on some other site, this is a pretty good IPA.

Not as hoppy as others have described. But, it is a nice well balanced beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I expected little here and was pleasently supprised. Nice hoppy aroma, very inviting with it floral nose. Flavore had a nice malt backbone and mouthfeel with a nice shot of IPA hoppy bite. A good effort here. Check it out.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Purchased on my holiday to New York. Hoppy, citrus and floral nose. Clear golden hue with quite lively looking carbonation and a white foamy head. Reasonably hopped taste not as brutal as say Hop Devil. Citrussy crisp dry taste and finish with a good helping of hop bitterness not massively complex and a lttle gutless for an IPA
