Smells floral and citrus. Pours gold, copper with white head. Body is lighter than most IPAís I have had, less bitter as well, but nice flavor. A biting floral taste, pretty smooth and not bad aftertaste. I think this is more of the type of IPA I like, haha.

Bottle - thanks to slob for the trade! Pours cliear amber with a large, billowy head that lingers well. Aroma is smooth malts and floral hops with hints of orange. Flavor is malty and dusty with an earthy hop bitterness. Light to medium body and gentle carbonation. Nice little IPA.

Probably best described as something of a more mass-market IPA. Of course, that means itís a little watery. Pours with a nice head, lacks the really pungent smell of better IPAs. Taste is similarily less strong. More straw taste and hops not made too bitter. Probably a good introduction to IPAs, however, as this is a perfectly drinkable beer.

This very weird beer smelled and tasted like freshly mowed grass. Thatís the only way to describe it. It was so freakiní hoppy it was ridiculous and tasted like the lawn. Yes, the lawn.

A crisp IPA with a hint of fruit. Nice foam on the top of the beer that follows the glass down until its gone. Goes well with seafood.

Color is a nice apricoty hue, head is nice and white. Aroma is quite nice, fresh and fruity, abounding in sweet associations, with orange on top, followed by peach, apricot, melon, cherries. I keep searching, and I keep finding. Great aroma! Hops are plentiful on the palate. An entire garrison is deployed upon the tongue, but it swiftly subsides. Taste is ultimately very smooth and mellow, but less complex than Iíd prefer in a hoppy IPA. Smelled great, tasted blase. Oh, well.

On tap at The Ruck in Troy. Poured golden yellow with a white head that left a lacing on the glass. Attractive beer. The aroma smelled somewhat diluted. The taste and body, on the other hand, seemed very diluted. Very little hop flavor. This tasted more like a pale lager than an IPA. A true girlie manís IPA.

Good beer. Pours an orange color with a thin head. Has a hint of spiceyness and is hoppy.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2004 Nice orange/amber color with a small white head, leaves good lacing. Hoppy and moderately spicy aroma. Flavor has some fruity and spicy notes; the palate is slightly thin. Finish is bitter, but not overwhelmingly so.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2006 Clear, golden-orange body with a sudsy, pure white head. Floral and citric hoppy nose plus a slightly catty element. Stale, cheesy hop quality with some juicy-fruit and light bready malt presence. Medium-high, sharp bitterness. This was a gateway beer for me once-upon-a-time (circa Super Bowl XXX in 1996 when Dallas defeated Pittsburgh 27-17). Now itís just a fair IPA at best in my book.
