need to rerate now that I know better- still a great session beer, still nice understated hoppiness and yes, still some bannan like fruitness. I good introduction to great beer.

Pours dark straw/light coppery. Aroma of malt, hops, citrus, some spiciness. The flavor is malty, subdued hoppy, with finishing citrus and black pepper notes. Finishes crisp and medium bodied.

Tap at Andy’s. And a fresh keg at that. Clear and yellow with a white head. Mellow fresh hop aroma. Smooth even malt/hop flavor that is not over the top. Initially this is pale ale like in character, but the hops build rather nicely and cumulate into what is a decent IPA when fresh, for the fresh hops make this beer worth drinking.

A standard IPA for sure. In fact, I have to say it’s one of my favorites, overall. Plus, it is widely available (at least where I am).

A good, above average IPA. Nothing special here, but very drinkable. Has the usual hop bite of an IPA, but seems a little toned down so the average drinker might enjoy this more. There is some sweet maltiness too. An easy to drink, evenly balanced IPA.

Pours a light clear copper with a white head. Aroma is malty. Taste is of light grapefruit/citrus and is floral, malty and hoppy. Not as aggresively hopped as most US IPAs but there are still plenty in this brew. Good sweetness, medium body, moderately bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is full and round. Very well-balanced. This is probably a good IPA to introduce first timers to.

Red with a white head. Hoppy and bitter aroma. Bitter and biting flavor. Very active palate, fizzy.

Sweet, fruity and hoppy aroma. Orange golden colour with fair white head that recedes to cover. Good lacing and excellent clarity. Hop flavour is subsumed with fruitiness which is in turn chased out by a reasonable bitterness. Lasting fruit impression. Medium-light body and a bit high on the carbonation. Bottle.

A good tasting ale, a little bit bitter but many IPAs are. It’s color is a golden brown and the aroma suits the beer well. Overall a pretty solid brew.
