A good IPA. I had this one from the keg last night. Well hopped, but with an aftertaste from the hops that made you drink more to kill the aftertaste. Nice aroma. A overall good IPA. Not the best IPA out there, but I wouldn"t hesitate to drink it again.

This was a great beer but I agree with the previous reviewer in that something bad happened in the finish on this one. Great malty/bitterness up front but there’s a lingering funky aftertaste. Drank this one side by side with the Red Hook IPA and I honestly thought the Red Hook had this more renowned brew beat. Pour and head were both somewhat weak as well. Drinkable and enjoyable, but far from superb for the style.

This beer is good, but fails in the same area that kills all harpoon beers for me. The maltiness begins well and then goes a little sour at the end. If the finish was as good as the beginning, this could be one of my favorites, but as it is, I rarely drink them.

Hopefully, this is an English-style IPA, b/c it didn’t have the pungent hop flavor and aroma of the American versions. Gold color, small head. Mild aroma of noble hops and a little pear. Flavor is sweet initially with a mellow balance of light malt and English hops, with a dry bitter hop finish. Medium body. A pleasant drink, but hop-heads might be a little disappointed.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2003 Pleasantly hoppy. Very well balanced with a touch of sweetness. Bitterness does not linger long on the tongue. Easy drinking. Touch of caramel in the finish.

This beer poured into the glass a gold color. The head was foamy white head that left fairly fast but the skim that it left was able to leave some lace. The aroma was of citrus, hops and citrus hops. The taste was not too heavy on the hops but they were present, but they shared it with the citrus. Some malt seemed to be present at the back of the taste but it faded quick. Pretty good for this style. I think it would be a good starter for a beginning IPA drinker

A more average IPA, although it is good. It’s definitely hoppy, though it lacks something in the flavor. I made an IPA myself which had a better flavor than this (it also had a better head).

Very nice IPA, not overkill on the hops.

Fruity without a harsh bitter aftertaste. Nice hoppiness (dry hopped), without too many IBU’s.
