3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 29, 2003 Has a golden color and a fruity/hop smell. Taste is of hop and finishes with a crisp bitterness. Overall a pretty standard IPA.

Wasnít expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Has a nice white head, and a VERY hoppy flavor. Aroma is classic IPA. A nice beer for the price.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very clear, yellow-gold. Nearly white head, with slightlacing. Bouquet of grapes, bananas, spicy floral hops, sweet malt. Light to medium bodied palate. Sweet malts, dry bitter finish, but definately not over-hopped. Alcohol in the hoppy finish. Not a terrible brew, but not anything incredible either.

Amber in color with fluffy white headLight hops and grain in the nose. Plenty of grapefruit and bitterness with a solid malt backbone giveing it almost a christmas cookie charactor. Easy to drink.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Nice drinking mild IPA. Sure I like a lot of hops, but sometimes you a mild hops presence is fine. Better on tap. Nice nose and golden amber color. Some hops upfront. Relaxing malty character. Easy to drink many.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very mild IPA, gentle hop aroma. Decent carbonation balance. Light golden color, thin head. Mild bitterness with flavor blossoming further into it. Mid-finish o.k., but no particular complexity. A good "beginnerís" IPA. (on tap, Whiskyís, Boston)

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This has a wonderful, floral aroma and amber color. However, it is a tad on the bland side for an IPA. The hops donít sing as much as I would like in an IPA either. But, all this aside, it is a good overall beer.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Hint of apricot and some floral hops. Light amber, clear - small white lacing head. Medium carb and body. Sweetish hops start with hint of apricot. Nice bittering and some nuttiness. Not bad from draught.

Whatís Beer Connoisseur Magazine and what are they smoking? Smells like Hallertauers in here?! This is a Pilsner thatís graduated from kindergarten to third grade or a flunked, gelding IPA. Itís growing on me but it neither has the oxidized hops and soft body of the Old World examples of the style and not any kind of keen sharpness and brutal fresh dry-hopping of the West Coast style. Itís too fruity. Damn, beer shouldnít piss someone off. Mies, this oneís for you...
