I like IPA’s, so I thought I would try this one. More a deep golden color than copper, big white rapidly dissipating head. Hoppy aroma, though not as strong as some. Very smooth with a slight bitter finish. Not a lot of bite to this one, seems to be fairly well balanced with the malts. This is not a bad IPA, just average. I like mine with a little more punch to them.

Not much bite on the finish, a very mild IPA. Thanks JPKnight22 for this brew.

A fine IPA and one of the most balanced IPA’s I’ve tried. While hoppy, it doesn’t have that one-sided hoppiness of most IPA’s. It has a nice balance to it that lets the malt shine through as well. I swear I detected the taste of cloves, similar to a hefeweizen, which only added to my enjoyment. A fine beer. I wish it were distributed here in the Midwest.

Hoppy. Very bold and bitter, with a slight undertone of malty sweetness and a touch of citrus. One of Harpoon’s best brews.

Super hoppy. The epitome of hop. Good for what it is, but it’s not my deal.

Malty/caramelly, not too much hop. Very English, which gains it points all around; most domestic IPAs that I’ve had seem to be the result of some sort of late-night fantasy of "Let’s make a sort of Star Trek Mirror Universe equivalent of Bud Light, with Astounding Amounts of Flavor and a goatee on the can because that’s how things work in Mirror Universes!" Don’t get me wrong, I like hops, but it’s refreshing to get a domestic IPA that eases off them a little.

UPDATED: JAN 29, 2003 Has a golden color and a fruity/hop smell. Taste is of hop and finishes with a crisp bitterness. Overall a pretty standard IPA.

Wasn’t expecting much, and was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Has a nice white head, and a VERY hoppy flavor. Aroma is classic IPA. A nice beer for the price.

Very clear, yellow-gold. Nearly white head, with slightlacing. Bouquet of grapes, bananas, spicy floral hops, sweet malt. Light to medium bodied palate. Sweet malts, dry bitter finish, but definately not over-hopped. Alcohol in the hoppy finish. Not a terrible brew, but not anything incredible either.
