2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 KAggie97 (3170) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - DEC 23, 2010
Tap at BJs, Woodlands. Pours an average cheddar orange with an aroma of stale, bready hops and watery roasted malt. Flavor is up-front floral roasted hops and toasted bread with grapefruit spread. Average mouthfeel. Not horrible but not good.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 EithCubes (3050) - GERMANY - DEC 19, 2010
Fresh bottle. Muffled citrus and pine nose with a little dough. Yeasty. Feels like English hops in here, too, but I’d accept pure Cascade. Gradient pour from golden to orange with a fluffy, rocky white head. Taste is yeasty and doughy, dry and lightly bitter, seems to have perceived salt, but that’s probably only for this moment. Has a good, sharp hop bite, chewy caramel, and just a little grit for balance. These days, this seems like more of a ’regular’, if slightly darker pale ale, but would have been revelatory a few years ago. Still good.

Draft. Light copper colored pour with decent head. Refreshing hoppy flavor, not too overwhelming.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Angeloregon (2054) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 12, 2010
Shared by Sean of 2 Beer Guys from a can. Hops appeared to drop out a bit. Golden-amber bodied with a clinging medium white head. Bready malts and yeast pair for a chewy slightly nutty character. This rating could be affected by the age of the beer or the fact that it was trucked and canned from early summer ’10 at Saranac. Fresh, it could be better. To be continued...
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JMerritt (1568) - Macomb, Illinois, USA - DEC 12, 2010
Medium golden in color with a medium-sized frothy, off-white head. Head falls a bit in the middle but retains form around the edges. Largely citric nose - mild-to-moderate grapefruit, light peach, mild grasses and a bit of lemon peel at the end. Moderately bitter taste; bitterness increases throughout the flavor profile, ending with a bit of black pepper spiciness, some mild cardboard and slightly sour wet hay and straw. Aftertaste is a little too sour for my liking.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 chicagobears (376) - Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA - DEC 9, 2010
Pours a brownish yellow. Nice lacing with each sip. A soft floral aroma. Has a decent fruit profile and is balanced out with some caramel notes. A session beer for sure. This is my third in a row now and this isn’t the only choice of beer in my fridge.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 MoritzF (7137) - Bochum, GERMANY - DEC 8, 2010
(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, golden colour with a short off-white frothy head. Fruity and flowery, also slightly woody hoppy aroma with a mildly sweet (cara-)malty background. Bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a crisp carbonation. Pleasantly soft malty base with slightly fruity and floral hops, accompanied by a woody touch; bitter-sweet malty and rounded hoppy finish with a lasting fruity and woody aftertaste. Fine and rounded IPA. 08.XII.10
