On tap at the Pirate House in Savannah, GA, on 10/24/08. Amber in color. Pine hop aroma. Some bitterness, but not excessive. Grassy ghops and grapefruit. Nothing to shout about.

Brassy golden clear with a thick dense white head that generates thick lace. Sweet malty spicy floral and fruit hop profile. Very well balanced. Long bitter finish.

Bottle 355ml. @ home.
Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy hoppy, pine. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Very easy to drink and in a good balance. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (180808)

Bottle. Pours an orange amber body with a white head 1 finger thick. Sweet malty, hops are floral a note of grass and hop resin. Nicely spiced, i enjoyed this some time ago.

This was the first beer I had in America after returning from Belgium. As great as the Belgian beers were, they were very light on the hops (at least for my American palate). I thought the hoppiness of an IPA would knock my socks off, but this one is pretty weak on the bitterness. You ever have a cigarette after not having smoked for months or years, and having to sit down due to the effect? I was expecting the rough equivalent of that in terms of hoppiness, and I was disappointed. It poured a tan color with quite a bit of head. Aroma was pretty weak, but moderately sweetly hoppy. Flavor was some floral hoppiness bolted on a fairly thin malt backbone. Mouthfeel was a bit watery. Not a very good beer...why did I have three? I would not recommend this beer. I had this on-tap at the Indigo restaurant in Alexandria, formerly known as Potowmack Landing.

Draft at dinner tonite.Nose was blown away in drafty but pleasant ale house . Looks great in the glass as the sharp gold looms with a thin white head. Crisp and hoppy. Quick light + body and fast finish. Good enough for two with dinner, past that, ehhh.
